I lived here for four years and really enjoyed my time. The management is very open about how things work, very easy to work with, and quick to respond. The few times I've had any issues, the maintenance team took care of it within 24 hours. It is an older apartment complex so some of the floors are sloped and like most housing in the area the apartments are smaller than most people expect. That is pretty typical for the area though.
Living on the bay has been a pleasure and the sunsets are... second to no where else I've ever lived. The apartments are dog and cat friendly which is rare in the area as well. My dog really loved walking down to the docks to chase the ducks. The majority of the people living near me are pretty respectful, and the few issues are easily dealt with. The walk ways are currently being redone and are IMHO much safer now because they are less slippery. It is definitely work that was needed and the workers have been very gracious about trying to accommodate people coming and going with the management team dedicated to keeping tenants informed as work is scheduled and completed.
Overall, four solid years of living here and I enjoyed my time. Bittersweet to move on!

RENTER BEWARE !!
Living there is a nightmare they charge too much for the slum that they are !! The management are constantly nit picking at every little issue .They run it as is its a prison rather then an apartment Their advertising is a joke the way they wrote the information about the apartments gives you the impression that they are grossly overpriced !! They have problems one right after another when it comes to maintaining the premises and apartment They use cheap paint if they paint at all between... tenants They charge the tenants for plumbing problems when most of the problem were pre existing prior to a person's move in The maintenance man is the only honest and polite person on the staff there at the Bayshore The manager seems to have a serious problem when it comes to the tenants personal privacy ! She acts as if the tenants are nothing more then a waste of Her precious time She seems to be gracious and friendly while trying to convince a possible future tenant When you finally get the opportunity to move out of the Bayshore Any other available property is one giant step up !! Moving out of the Bayshore was a godsend and My family has recovered from all the adversarial antagonistic , hostile environment caused by the staff..

NICE PLACE, GREAT VALUE !!
I absolutely loved living here! For it being on the coast, so close to downtown Astoria and the community college, the prices were very reasonable. They are pet-friendly and easy to get a hold of. The manager was always in the office and was eager to help fix any problem I had with my apartment. She treated me with respect and took the time to listen. I wish all managers were like her. The maintenance man was always polite and got the job done as quickly as possible. He was very good at his job... and seemed to enjoy it. He always took the time needed to do the job correctly rather than just doing temporary fixes, which I felt was extremely important. When I moved in, the apartment was very clean and well maintained. The stairways and walkways were always kept as tidy as possible with them being outside in all the crazy coastal weather. I also liked that it is a smoke-free property so I could open my large windows on nice days and not have to deal with someone else's smoke. The amazing bay view was a HUGE bonus too, watching the sun set and rise over the bay is one of the things I truly miss. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a wonderful environment to live in. I have no complaints. Don't take my word for it. Go see for yourself! You won't be disappointed.”

Danger! Stay away!
The apartment complex I'm living in is a joke. The kitchen is constantly flaking white paint and when you try to clean the cabinets they look dirtier than before. It's as if they don't clean them between renters and instead just add a coat of paint. I had to renew my lease because I can't afford to move right now, but I'm out of here next year. Management basically does just the bare minimum of maintenance. If your rent is late they hit you with a $75 late fee and they have now added a $50... fee if your toilet gets clogged and you can't fix it yourself. For all of this money, you would think they might actually provide some maintenance. Instead, the leasing agency is just out to make as much money as they can. The walkways desperately need to be redone as they, along with the stairs, are just a crumbling mess and a safety hazard. My advice is to look elsewhere. This place simply isn't worth it.
