As a violation of the contract we agreed to when we signed the lease, they will not allow us to make payments by personal check due to one returned check from long ago when I had an old lease with a previous tenant. The contract states, "Thereafter and for the balance of THE TERM OF THE LEASE, you shall be required to make all future payments by money order or certified check" [upon bouncing a check]. Additionally, they charged us late fees (even though they received the check on time) since... they refuse to cash it. They also sent out a 3 day notice to pay or surrender possession of premises. This notice was sent not only to myself and my current roommate whom shares the lease responsibility - but also an identical notice (which reflects the fees along with our confidential information) to the OLD tenant whom no longer resides in the apartment or is associated with our current lease! This management team has been nothing but inconsistent and disorganized and this is only one example of the trouble we have had with them. I can not wait until my lease is over and I discourage anyone who is considering leasing any Morgan Management residential properties.
