This is the first place I have ever rented, and I definitely...learned some lessons. It was very difficult to contact the property manager to get a tour and fill out an application, and maybe I should have taken that as a sign that something was off, but I ended up renting anyway. Maintenance has either dragged their feet or neglected to help at all for every single issue I had, from unsafe electrical outlets to broken washing machines (they claimed it "wasn't their problem" despite the machines... being for the entire building's use). When water began leaking from my bathroom ceiling due to another tenant flooding his bathtub, it took them OVER AN HOUR to respond, and then tried to pass it off as "condensation from a hot shower" until I showed them the bucket of dirty water I had collected. Maintenance also dragged their feet when MUSHROOMS grew on my bathroom ceiling due to the leak. The super flat out refused to test for mold in the ceiling, so I had to pay out of my own pocket to make sure I wouldn't be poisoned my own bathroom. The elevator breaks down at least every two months and there are multiple potholes in the outdoor parking lot. Even when the elevator works, it shakes and the door refuses to close. There is also racist graffiti in the garage that has gone unattended for weeks. There are probably other issues that I'm forgetting but these are the main ones. There are several health hazards in this building and management is neglectful at best. I'm going to get out of here as soon as I can.

LOOKS NICE BUT NOT WORTH IT
This has been the worst management company I have ever lived in. Have not been able to get a hold of anyone in Fairfield for 9 months. Great location but that is about it. The apartment looks nice with it's renovations from afar but once you're settled you realize that the paint is chipping and peeling off the walls. Fairfield employees park in your overpriced parking spot and you have to hunt down someone to move their car for you. Problem after problem with this place. Forget about... getting packages delivered, I found my packages opened and by the garbage room. Nothing that is worth the money. I believe it is Fairfield as a whole however this particular location is not benefited by the super. Absolutely horrible, couldn't wait to move out since the day I moved in.

Bad building, NOT luxury at all
We have been in this so called "luxury" building now for about 2 years and are in one of the renovated apartments. When we moved in they told us the building was in the process of being renovated and all the common spaces would be done within the year and the parking lot would be repaved. I don't if the realtor lied or she just didn't know but two years later and we are continually living in a construction zone with no projects being completed. -No projects are finished. It has been two... months of the ceiling a mess with wires and lights hanging down and haven't seen a worker now in three weeks. -Someone thought it was a good idea to tile the hallway floors. Just imagine the sound that travel in a 80 foot long hallway with tile. You hear people talking, wheeling things down the hallway, etc. For a "Luxury" building their should be carpet down. -NOT A SINGLE THING has been done to the lobby, elevator or parking lot in 2 YEARS. -NO AC in the hallways, lobby, or elevator, it is hot as heck right now during the summer -The work done on the renovated apartments is awful. Grout missing in the shower allows water through to ruin the tenants ceiling below you. We have had to replace almost every single lightbulb in our apartment (8) (clearly something wrong with the wiring) -The walls and ceiling are paper thin. You can literally hear everything above and to the side of you. -Tenants are pigs including spilling coffee and dog food in the hallways and not cleaning up, blasting music, and smoking in their apartments (which is illegal) -The super is great and very attentive but he has no power over tenants and the problems you have. -Building management is terrible. Any problems you tell them and they say they will write the tenant making the problems "a strong letter" telling them to stop, SERIOUSLY?

WARNING: DO NOT MOVE TO ANY FAIRFIELD PROPERTY! ESP. NOT DOUGLASTON!!!
This is by far the worst but most expensive apartment building I have ever lived in (I've lived in a total of 5). Management is AWFUL and no one in the office returns phone calls. The property manager thinks he's untouchable. The new tenants with newer apartments in the building are relatively nice, all others have tons of complaints and are cranky and disgruntled. Parking lot is angled parking yet has no lines, so you have to fight with cocky jerks next to you to fit in your "spot." THERE... IS A HUGE ROACH PROBLEM and the garbage shoot is despicable. Walls are concrete yet somehow still paper thin. Unless you're on the top floor don't bother--people above you will make you miserable. Tenants constantly write in the elevator "WORST BUILDING EVER" and "RUN" in Sharpie if that's any indication. It's like being in prison or a psych ward until you can move. Can't wait for my least to be up in a month. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. RUN!!!!
