This building is a nightmare. From the roof, there is a horrible, constant noise from the A/C machines, day and night. Sleep is impossible.
You see one price, but after moving in, this is not all. The building forces you to pay for everything. They even charge you for the pool that doesn't work/is closed in winter, and they won't remove the fee!
Management is a disaster: super arrogant, never say hello, and ignore any request. They are only about money and won't help. Can't wait to leave this... place.

Consider other options
I strongly recommend avoiding any Apartment here. Units designated for individuals with disabilities, are located directly above the building’s garbage compactor on the second floor. The constant vibration and loud noise from the compactor make the apartment extremely difficult to live in. Management on the 2925 W 16th Street side — which is still part of the 1515 Surf property — has also shown a consistent lack of responsiveness to tenant concerns. Many residents have experienced poorly... installed flooring that lifts, frequent breakdowns of essential appliances, and recurring plumbing issues that often take far too long to resolve. In addition, there have been repeated instances where management has miscalculated tenant balances or attempted to overcharge residents, causing unnecessary stress and confusion. Overall, this property has significant noise, maintenance, plumbing, and administrative issues that management has not adequately addressed. Prospective tenants should be aware of these ongoing problems before considering a lease here.
