After living here for the past 12 years, I can honestly say that leaving is bittersweet. As I begin an exciting new chapter as a homeowner, the fact that I feel a little sad to leave says so much about how positive my experience has been and how much this community has meant to me over the years.
My apartment has truly been home to me. It has been a comfortable and welcoming place to live, and over the years I have always appreciated having a space that I felt proud to come home to.
One of the... things I have been most impressed with is how much the property has continued to improve over the years. The community has made so many renovations and upgrades, and it is clear that there is a great deal of pride taken in the overall appearance and maintenance of the property. The grounds are well cared for, and the addition of amenities such as the pickleball courts has been a wonderful improvement—especially since pickleball has become so popular!
Most importantly, I have always felt safe living here. Feeling safe in your home and community is incredibly important to me, and that has always been one of the things I have appreciated most throughout my 12 years here.
The location is also hard to beat. It is conveniently close to downtown, shopping, restaurants, and everything you need, while also offering easy access to Route 16 and travel to Boston, Portland, and North Conway. The accessibility and convenience of the location have been a huge benefit.
Throughout the years, I have always been able to reach the office when needed, but I especially want to recognize the maintenance team. George and his team have been absolutely wonderful. Whenever something needed attention, they were responsive, professional, and dependable. Knowing that you have a maintenance team you can count on makes such a difference, and they have always been a major positive part of my experience here.
Overall, this has been a wonderful place to live. The well-maintained property, convenient location, continued improvements, sense of safety, and excellent maintenance team have all made this community feel like home for the past 12 years.
I am very grateful for the memories I have made here and for the positive experience I have had over the years. I am excited to begin my next chapter as a homeowner, but I will genuinely miss living here. I would absolutely recommend this community to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-maintained, safe, and conveniently located place to call home.

Amazing place and people
My partner and I lived at Lilac Garden for 1 year before having to unexpectedly move out for work. Even in our short time at the property, we loved it and the community. The property management was always helpful and kind, and maintenance was always on top of any issues quickly. I would recommend Lilac Garden to anyone looking to move to the Dover area!

Great Place!
We moved to Monument Gardens after our adult son suggested it, and then moved my mother-in-law here too! Three generations shows we appreciate the place! The grounds are kept up well, communication is great, and many of the units have been upgraded. This was a temporary (one-year) stay for us between selling and buying, but if we were long-term renters, we'd have stayed, as many here do.

I lived here for 6 years and never had an issue of any type. My work relocated me to another state and hope I find a complex that equals this one.
