My lease is set to renew and waiting until the last minute to accept my renewal offer, I went out to the other areas of town I might consider returning to because I've lived in all of them as a Buncombe native. First of all, Weaverville is my favorite for it's cute Main Street, slower pace, amazing community center with abundant offers overlooking a lake with walking trail, great restaurants, convenience to stores I shop (no more than five minutes away) and the biggest sky that offers up the... most amazing sunsets you've ever seen! I love to visit nearby Town of Marshall for its many events and festivals, too.
I didn't find another place that compared. Many in this price range are significantly smaller, dated and stacked densely on a very small footprint with fewer amenities. At the Retreat, there is abundant storage. In my 2 bedroom unit, there are double walk-in closets in the Master, a large linen closet and double vanity in the master bath, lots of room for additional shelf storage in the laundry room, a separate outdoor storage room, a large linen closet outside the second bedroom that has a large walk-in, a pantry closet and a coat closet ant plenty of cabinets in the kitchen. The bedrooms are generously large. The open kitchen/dining/living area is spacious and the finishes are modern. I love the glasstop stove. Two of my appliances did expire, but that's an appliance issue. They were replaced immediately. I have kind and respectful neighbors.

The maintenance is second to none. These guys show up fast, are professional but kind and they work quickly to make any repairs. Quarterly maintenance happens. Weekly landscape maintenance happens, year-round. The breezeways are wide and kept clean. It is well-lit and I always feel safe.

The property management staff is responsive, kind and accommodating. They communicate well. They offer social events around various holidays and offer occasional food trucks on property. They have worked with me to meet the needs of my adult child who requires special accommodation.

The gym is comprehensive. There is a lounge with recreation offers. A lovely pool with covered summer kitchen and seating. A self-serve pet salon. A dog park. They provide grooming products and pet clean up bags for free! The property is walkable for exercise and has an extended approach road that I also walk. This is truly resort living. Retreat is one of the best options for luxury apartments in Weaverville. The events are great and the maintenance are very helpful.
