DO NOT MOVE IN!

My new apartment is the same price and a night and day difference! I’m really glad I moved out. No issues with the new place so far.

Within 2 months of moving in, my AC broke here. It took maintenance a few months to fix it and I was forced to use an AC unit that attaches to a window. Well, this raised the cost of my power bill significantly and Whitehall did nothing to help me offset the cost. But wait, it gets worse…

Not long after this, my apartment flooded along with a few of my neighbors....
They took months to fix mine, and I even had to pay for and stay in an aibnb for 5 or 6 days, which costed me over $500. The only thing they did to help was reduce my rent by $200, and that was only after begging extensively. Had I not kept trying, it wouldn’t have happened.

I also remember my oven breaking for over a month and that forced me to eat out all the time, spending more money on food than intended. The worst part is, Whitehall will mark your maintenance requests as completed WHILE YOU’RE LITERALLY AT HOME. So obviously no one came over and completed it. This forced me to submit requests over and over again every time something broke, which was frequent there. Also, the leasing office emailed me back when I first moved in but eventually stopped responding to any of my emails. They also didn’t answer the phone enough. So I typically had to go in person to get some help, and even then they’d tell me they’d call me with an update and of course I’d never get that call. It’s exhausting to live here, you’re always taking a dozen steps to get 1 thing resolved all while everything else is breaking. Hell, I even remember my oven fan being broke for at least 3 months before maintenance finally came and fixed it. So when I’d cook something like burgers, it would smoke up the whole apartment and my face. Not fun.

Another problem I should mention is their pool. They don’t keep it cold in the slightest. You will feel hotter in the water than if you were just standing outside, even in the early summer months. My new apartment has cooler water, and again, zero maintenance issues whatsoever. They communicate better as well.

Also, I had multiple packages stolen from my doorstep while living here for 1 year. High theft area, so watch out. Whitehall doesn’t have a mailroom or anything so it’s a game of luck to get your packages delivered!

Whitehall is infested with bugs too. Upon moving out, I cleaned my apartment to the best of my abilities and there were the same am

staying here

I been at Whitehall estates since 2019…..my very first official apartment and I’m still here…..it’s chilled here in the community….maintenance workers are so nice, they speak when they are around the neighborhood, they fix things in a timely manner. Things happen everywhere as far as crime, the only thing I would change would be for them to install cameras, but other than that they have security that ride around here and there.

Awesome Location!!!

I’ve been living here for over a year and I can’t complain! Anytime I have an issue, it gets resolved, by either maintenance or the leasing office. Everyone’s pretty friendly including neighbors! Lots of kids and doggos which is great! But one thing I like the most is that its in a good location! All grocery stores, shopping malls, parks, and the airport are very close and some are even walking distance!

GUN SHOOTING & COCKROACHES

-5 Stars
GUN SHOOTING, Cockroaches, and over priced for the disrespect. I had 3 bullets come into my window, called maintenance that night and took them 3 days to put a wood covering over the UNSECURED window. Roughly took them 3/4 weeks to replace the window without the replacing the blinds? You got to be joking me. I emailed them twice and no response. The professionalism or therefore lack of. Don’t rent from here.

I feel for my safety now and it’s sad. I pay a lot of rent money for what?...
Clearly not safety or comfort knowing things are going to be handled! The lack of communication and response is ridiculous as well. This should’ve been handled the NEXT day after the SHOOTING! Just sad and pathetic for apartment complex.

Cockroaches everywhere and you pay for pest control. The toilet seat wasn’t sealed, doors weren’t secured upon move in. Just overall a mess. Due to some uncomfortable circumstances I have to stay here till I can move which will hopefully be soon. Not an ideal situation to be in if you ask me. Mentally scarred from the 3 bullets that came into my apartment and they not immediately fixing the window and blinds. I’m a clean person so waking up to multiple huge cockroaches at night and not being able to sleep isn’t worth it anymore. I spray on my own and have been trying my best to get rid of them before I move.

I don’t trust this apartment complex anymore and can’t wait to upgrade my apartment away from this uncomfortable location. I am excited to get away from the cockroaches as well if I can.

It is okay and not for the more bougie

Good points: I love the trees that are around the property. It is for the most part quiet. Occasional noise but quiet except for the airplanes. I've had no issues with maintenance. They are so nice and they fix my issues pretty quickly. I wish the maintenance staff was the leasing office staff. Location is really good if you don't have a car.

Bad points: They changed the very nice group of people maybe a few months ago. They did not send an email or anything letting us know. I went into the...
office for something and the energy with those new people are terrible. I read other reviews that say that the guy is telling people he is a temp but he has been there for a few months now. I don't want to even see them.

Valet trash is terrible. The company that picks it up are really good about that. It is the lazy neighbors who leave their trash and trash cans out ALL DAY and we are supposed to have certain hours we leave the trash out so they can pick it up. The trash compactor is a short walk or short drive away and they will leave it out by the door. I have so many photos of this on different days. It looks tacky, it is embarrassing, it stinks and causes bugs and management does nothing about it. This is part of the reason they are losing me as a good tenant, someone who pays her rent on time every month and who does not cause issues.

Neighbors drop trash all over the ground and stairs. They don't clean it up. They think maintenance is supposed to do that. And maintenance does clean up what they can see but one time there was trash on the steps for about two week that maintenance would not have caught. I purposely tried to see if any of the neighbors would clean it up as an experiment and no one did, just to see. I finally took a broom and dust pan to clean it up.

The buildings are dirty and are missing pieces on the stairs and has cracks, etc.

Appliances in the home are old. Make sure if you see the model home, the appliances are comparable.

I am definitely moving when my lease is up. Like I said the new group in the leasing office as of 6/28/2022 has made this decision easy in addition to the rental rate. WALK THE GROUNDS of the property. Walk the stairs and you will see trash sitting out in the middle of a hot summer day.
