How Is This Rating Determined?

Rent at your own risk. Especially during these next two years.


The current construction project happening here is far more invasive than management has represented to both CURRENT residents and prospective tenants. Behind the large exterior tarps are units with completely REMOVED EXTERIOR WALLS — including windows, brick, drywall, and insulation. In their place are temporary “secure TARPS” stretched over wooden framing that does little to actually protect the units.

To put the lack of security into perspective: I can literally fit all four of my fingers...
through the gaps between the tarp and the wall. These coverings are nowhere near airtight or properly sealed from the outside environment, which explains the constant issues that I have listed below.

As a resident, I have dealt with nonstop construction noise from 9-5pm (some days even before 9am) bugs entering the apartment (leaving me with bug bites), excessive pollen (making us feel sick 24/7) and dust inside the unit, and major temperature regulation problems because the HVAC system cannot compensate for the exposure. No one even knows why they’re doing this project, but some are saying it’s due to black mold.

We have also have gone months without natural light after our windows got blacked out for this project. And yes, this is 24/7 — including weekends. You will get NO sunlight for MONTHS. We have begged for some sort of alternative, and got no answer. Say goodbye to your plants, circadian rhythm and mental health.

The lack of protection from these tarps also caused a specific major issue in our second bedroom on top of all of this. Construction debris and sawdust poured DIRECTLY into the room and coated ALL of my boyfriend’s belongings. It took us over 6 hours to clean everything, and the room UNTIL THIS DAY reeks of sawdust. We asked if management could fix it, they told us they’d have someone come redo it, and they ended up, of course, not coming and fixing it. We had to follow up again the next week for them to send someone. So we went the entire weekend with not even a tarp protecting that room.

The most frustrating part has been the lack of communication and responsiveness from management throughout this process. We have yet to hear back from the last three emails we have sent, and assume we never will. This has sadly been our experience since move-in, and seems to be a common issue here.

Their philosophy may be “resident first,” but it is not practiced.

Corporate cares more about keeping money than keeping residents.

The Inspire is the place I call home

I have been a resident of the Inspire since the property was built and opened for tenants. I love my place, the wonderful sense of community, and the neighborhood. I wanted to thank the current management for navigating the property and its tenants through the unprecedented times of COVID. A heartfelt thank you!

Impressive!

We just moved in on Saturday (July 10, 2021) and are beyond impressed by every last aspect of this property. The unit itself is impeccably clean with very little sign of wear & tear. I've traveled the world & can say the amentities are beyond what you'd expect from any 5 star property (the materials, equipment and such is all high-end, not obvious that any corners have been cut). The unit seems very well insulated as we did not hear any noise from adjacent units nor unit above us. This place... is very pet friendly so our large great pyrennes is comfortable and we've already washed her using the pet grooming area in the property.
The property sponsors events for tenants such as live music & libations which occurred from 12pm-3pm on Saturday our first day in the property. The location provides ease of walking access to restaurants, wine shop, grocery, etc...Overall its been a great experience but of course its early days but I'm optimistic it continues to be a great place to live.

Worst Experience

Do not live here. A new company purchased the building and took away all luxury amenities. It’s by far the worst apartment complex we have lived at.

Poor Ownership- Northland- Management

This place has gone downhill big time! I have been here a year and am moving out in September. The place is dirty, not maintained, not cleaned, not vacuumed, trash rooms are disgusting and smell, one cleaning guy responsible for the entire building including amenities, grounds are disgusting and smell like dog urine throughout, overall, don't rent here. Management is rude, hides in their offices, never see the manager out and about walking the grounds to check on things. Most residents moving in... here are fly by night, short-term leases now, doesn't feel like a home, feels like a Motel-6.
