BEWARE ! SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE !

I Regret Moving Here EVERYDAY !!!! I’ve Lived Here For Over 3 Years And The Way This Building Has Went Down It’s Ridiculous ! The Lady In The Office With The Glasses (KELLY) Attitude Is Disgusting ! Ever Since They Changed The Staff It’s Been Nothing But Issues ! ALL The Gates Are BROKEN And Have Been For Over A Year ! The Maintenance Team Has Been Reduced To TWO People And Nothing Gets Done !!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ACTUALLY NON EXISTENT ! They’re Worried About Hitting A Quota And The... Building Is Disgusting ! THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONES ! I Could Go On But I Won’t !!! PICK SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE !!!! It’s Homeless People Sleeping In The Staircases - This Has Been Brought Up NUMEROUS Times ! They Do Nothing To Fix The Issues. Trash Sits In The Hallways For Daysss ! Everyone In The Office Acts Like You’re Doing Them A Favor. They Take ZERO Action When Things Go Wrong. They Refuse To Give Contact Information For Corporates Number ! The Hallways Are Disguising ! Calling This “Luxury” Is A Joke ! The Building Is Cheaply Made And You Can Hear Everything In The Next Unit, Emails And Calls Go Unanswered, And Service Requests Are Frequently Ignored Or Closed Without Being Addressed. It’s The Glorified Projects !!! I’ve Complained About A Man Sleeping In Front Of My Door (On Multiple Occasions !) When I Went To The Office The Solution They Gave Was To Call The Police- Instead Of FIXING The Gates And Security System That We Pay For. If I Could Give Zero Stars, I Would ! The Attitude, Entitlement From The Staff In The Office Is Beyond Me. When Emeri & Jessicia Worked Here, Things Got Resolved In A Timely Manner. The Elevator Was BROKEN All Summer, They Gave Us The Run Around About It The Whole Time. When I Spoke To The New Girl On The Phone (8/28) She Told Me “I’m Doing You A Curtsey By Answering The Phone Because We Have New Move Ins That We’re Focused On” … What Kind Of Service Is That For People Who Have Lived Here For Almost 3 Years. I Actually Count Down The Days Until I Leave This DUMP !

Again - It’s MANY Places You Can Pick From, Pick Somewhere Else ! Unless You’re Comfortable With Random Homeless People Staying Living In The Staircases And Lackluster Customer Service Then This Is The Place For You.

Love it so far

I am surprised at some of these reviews. I have a great experience and the staff have been so friendly and helpful (especially, Patrick my lease agent) I work from home and I don’t hear much day or night. I would recommend, in my personal experience!

Miserable here. Cried when I had to extend my lease

This apartment complex isn’t worth half of what they charge for rent. I’ve lived in dorms, and college apartments that are more adequate at 8 metro’s price point. Poor quality built apartments, nasty and inconsiderate tenants, and something is always out service. If you move here, make SURE you look at the actual unit on the lease before you sign. The building they show you is the best building here, and sets up awfully high expectations, that the other incomplete and dirty buildings just can’t... reach. I was rather embarrassed to bring my parents here, but that’s my own fault for not taking my own advice. Currently a student, my hands were tied and I needed to extend my lease for a while, and I still get upset when I think about how much time I have left. The staff is nice though!

New management is terrible!

Don't pay attention to reviews before the beginning of 2022. This place USED to be great. 8 metro station horrible. Do not move here! I lived here for over 2 years. Since then a new property manager took over and the quality of these apartments in every aspect as has gone down significantly. It has gotten so bad, that this morning I woke up and my car was gone. They had the car towed of a resident who lived here for years and when I brought it too their attention they basically told me I just... have to pay. So not only was money lost due to being late to work and having to reschedule clients, but a $300 tow fee on top of that. Months ago when they first took over, I asked them about the new stickers, and they "said don't worry about, we are not towing right now." 8 metro station is not only incompetent, but they do not care about the residents that live here.

Property Manager at 8 Metro Station responded to this review

We appreciate you reaching out and are sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Vehicles that do not have a resident sticker or belong to guests need to park in our designated visitor parking spaces to avoid being towed. This policy has... been in place since April and is for the benefit of our residents so we may guarantee available parking. We notified all residents through multiple emails, signs, and notices on each resident's door. If we can answer any additional questions for you, please feel free to contact us at metrostation@alapts.com.

This is NOT a quiet community

Please learn from my mistake, this is NOT a quiet community and I would not recommend this complex to anyone looking to work from home or students that need to focus/study. If loud environments disrupt your well-being, I highly recommend paying a little more to live elsewhere.

I’ve found that if I need to concentrate, I have to commute into Uptown and go into the office. Considering the cost of gas and parking, I’d probably break even living somewhere else while also enjoying the comforts of...
working from home.

We’ve talked to management multiple times about the vibrations we FEEL from our downstairs neighbor’s bass music while sitting in our living room. I’ve lived in apartments for over 10 years and I understand that it’s not uncommon to hear moderate levels of sound from other units. But I have NEVER experienced vibrations coming through the floor.

The community manager told me that they “can’t tell people to not play music in their apartment”. I tried to explain that it’s more than music, but she didn’t seem to care. All I wanted was a courtesy reminder to keep their bass at reasonable levels. We’ve called the courtesy officer on multiple occasions and that did not seem to help either. I’ve invested in noise-canceling earphones but that doesn’t stop the vibrations.

The problem doesn’t seem to be unique to our unit either. I’d consider this a party complex as we’ve heard parties on many occasions while walking throughout the community. I would recommend requesting a copy of the community rules before paying the $200/person application fee so you’re able to see what your protections are as a resident. Most communities have quiet hours or guidelines around noise control but the verbiage in the contract is very loose and they don’t seem to enforce anything.

We did not visit in person before moving here because we were not local to Charlotte at the time. If I had seen the level of cleanliness and security (or lack thereof) of the property, I would have kept looking for other communities. I can look past the condition of the property, but I can’t get past the noise.
