Lived here for 2+ years before finally getting out. The location, in Lafayette Square, is the only benefit here. The apartments themselves are outrageously overpriced. Beware: the listed prices here do not reflect the actual lease contracts - management jacks the prices way up from what is advertised - a bait & switch practice that should be monitored and curbed.
Most of the apartments feature obnoxiously cheap, outdated, inefficient appliances. The paint is old and drab. Carpets are old, torn,... and stained. Walls are paper-thin. Inefficient HVAC units struggle to function year-round leading to higher utility costs. Yet, as other reviewers have pointed out, the management staff are possibly the worst feature. Although staffing has flipped in the last year, it has actually gotten worse! There are many newer, nicer apartment options opening up around the city. Bed bugs here, well known thing in STL - I do not recommend.

Received weekly noise complaints from the people below us just for walking around our apartment too loudly. Even during the weekends, we would receive noise complaints just for having the TV on too loud. We tried to talk to management about it and they handled it poorly. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear every noise from the rooms around you. Because of the high ceilings and large windows, the AC runs almost 20 hours a day in the summers which causes a really high electric bill. The... windows also don't have screens, so we requested some to be put in and we received some that were the wrong size and didn't fit in the windows. An otherwise pleasant 2 years there was capped off by a really poor move out experience. The current community manager, Chris, was unhelpful and unable to resolve basic questions regarding the move-out process. When asked to speak to someone else, he told me that information "is proprietary." Sound bogus? Yeah, it does to me too. For this reason, I would not recommend this property to others at this time.

The Lofts are truly the best. I have never experienced such high class living and an amazing staff! They are always ready to help. The building is historic and beautiful. One of a kind.
