Best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. Maintenance responds quickly especially in emergency situations. The property is well kept, and they do a great job in winter keeping sidewalks and main areas clear. Safe neighborhood with a great location. Love that we have the option of the parking garage. I've lived here for 2.5 years, and my experience living here has been pleasant and convenient. Easy access to streetcar and a few bus routes.

They have an online system where residents can submit maintenance requests and pay their rents (or set up auto-pay), which is very convenient. The property responds to maintenance requests pretty quickly, and my rent has only risen by 3% each year, so not too bad.

The property allows Amazon deliveries to be taken right to your door, or any other... deliveries can get delivered to the office and kept in a secure room.

The property is well taken care of (including in winters), and the area is pretty quiet, peaceful, and safe.

They have discounts on local businesses and for the hotel across the street, which has come in handy for me when I've had out of town family and friends visit.

My 2 minor quibbles are that the parking gate has had issues where is stays in its upright position for extended periods of time, allowing non-residents to enter the complex (though I haven't had any issues with anybody yet since it's a relatively safe area). Also, when I began living here, they were working on getting Google Fiber installed, but have seemed to have halted that, so this complex still only has Spectrum and AT&T internet. Read More

This apartment community is excellent! I really enjoyed the bungalow-style layout, and its close proximity to downtown was a big plus. A colleague recommended it to me, and overall my experience was very positive. Maintenance requests were handled promptly, and the package concierge service was a convenient feature. The Union Hill staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood itself felt safe and peaceful. The gym facilities were impressive as well.
While some... units—including mine—were on the smaller side, the rent was quite fair given the location. The gated parking was a nice benefit, though the gate occasionally malfunctioned. The only real challenges I faced were during severe winter storms: once the pipes froze and disrupted the water supply, and another time heavy snow made parking impossible. These issues were eventually resolved, though I would have preferred quicker action.
All in all, I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a place to live in the Kansas City area. Read More

I moved here last year right before the renovations happenned. I was a little bummed at first as it would be cool to have a brand new unit but my experience was still wonderful regardless of the finishes. I now get to transfer to a new one with no extra cost! The new units are so sleek and modern. Perfect apartment if you are looking for something nice but affordable. The outside could use some work, but never judge a book by its cover!!! Despite renos, the building itself is very old.

Many mice during winter time even if your place is super clean. Neighbor had snake on the 3rd floor also.

AC units and ventilation is very old. Energy bill will be expensive and maintenance is always visiting.
