We moved into The Vue in September 2023 and moved out earlier this month after living there for roughly three years.

One of the main reasons I chose The Vue was because it was a gated community. It was more expensive than some other apartments we considered, and even though other places offered garage parking while we had to park outside here, I felt the gate would provide an additional level of security. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case.

The gate was a CONSTANT issue. There... were times when it was broken and left open for WEEKS at a time. During one of those times, three cars were broken into, including mine. There were thousands of dollars in damages caused by people attempting to steal the vehicles.

I contacted management to ask whether they would help cover any of the damages, especially considering the gate had been left open for weeks. I was told they would take the issue to corporate and see whether anything could be done. Ultimately, the answer was no. I was left paying for all of the damages out of pocket and received nothing more than a sorry for the inconvenience. I later learned that other car owners and residents had similar complaints and concerns about the gate and vehicle break-ins.

I understand that apartment complexes may have limitations regarding liability, but when one of the main selling points is being a gated community and the gate is repeatedly broken and left open for extended periods of time, residents should not be made to feel like their concerns don’t matter. The gate gave us a false sense of security.

By the time we moved out, we simply did not feel safe there anymore.

The move-out process has been just as frustrating as many of the other experiences we had while living there. We were charged for an additional day of rent, along with other move-out charges, and by that point, it just felt like one more thing being piled on.
We had to question and fight them on practically everything throughout our time there, including repairs, concerns, and now move-out charges. By the end of the process, it felt like every issue became another battle instead of receiving fair treatment and reasonable communication.
If you’re considering The Vue because you want to feel safe in a gated community, I would seriously reconsider. If you don’t want to constantly hear your neighbors and street traffic, reconsider. And if you don’t want to have to fight over repairs and charges, reconsider. Read More

To say this place is luxury is absolutely laughable. It is so luxurious the mail service was suspended for more than two months because someone beat-up the mailman in the leasing office while trying to recover a missing package of "substances" they'd been receiving. (Can be confirmed w the USPS on Ballas and it was on the news here is the link https://www.firstalert4.com/2025/12/31/st-louis-county-postal-employee-assaulted-over-missing-package/). ALL tenants had to go to the USPS to pick up mail... for over two months. Ironically to that, one of the maintenance men has a problem with women/people of color, he was always rude and they were always accusing me of smoking in the unit when I was not (because said maintenance man "witnessed the smell" ). But somehow a non resident was receiving mailed "substances" to the leasing office and they were unaware. Water coming through the ceiling that they said was not coming through the ceiling. They played crazy saying they did not know because the water was not on upstairs and they elected to DO NOTHING about it. Elevator was broken at least 6 times in a 12 month period one of those times it was out for two months AND the elevator repair people parked in my assigned parking space while repairing. The complex is poorly designed, you will always be blocked in or blocked from your parking space by delivery trucks because of how it is designed. Always unauthorized vehicles in my space. if someone parks in your space after hours or on the weekend, there is nothing you can do. Someone left their car in my space for an entire weekend. Rank stinking wash room area. Front loading washing machines should be drained to get the sitting water out-these are never drained. They stink like mildew. The workout room is a complete stinky disaster. The gate is always broken. They say it is gated but after every storm it sits open, it is broken at least every other week where it will only open partially and you have to go to the other side. The wine chiller does not chill a thing. If you have someone above you, you will hear their every step due to super thin walls. They rent out apartments on a temp basis to companies and entities - never know who you are living next to - I was stalked by a guy with mental illness who was eventually arrested. I moved into a one bedroom apartment at The Vue in December. I absolutely love it here! The apartments are bright, spacious and open. The finishes and amenities are top of the line. Moving during a pandemic is extremely difficult, but the entire team at The Vue made my experience stress free. I am currently working from home and never hear any noise from my neighbors. Everyone I have met is kind and welcoming. My only regret is not finding this beautiful apartment sooner!

The recreational area is amazing! I have yet to see anything like the Cave in the STL area. Pool is amazing, and the pool table is also a plus!

Staff thumbs up! Parties and events are always a blast! Interiors hands down the most detailed and upscale in the city you will find. They spared nothing when it came to details. Plus I literally can walk to everywhere to the store, the movie theaters and all the local restaurants nearby. Also it helps Im so close to work!
