Our Home for Three Years
My partner and I have lived in the Lex for three years now and as we prepare to move out I thought it would be important to leave a little review for all of you that are thinking about making this building your home! Over the last three years we have made so many wonderful memories here and I would hate for all of you to miss out on the opportunity to do the same due to one negative review.
While the other review on this property is right in that the floors, walls, and heating are not perfect,... that is the reality of living in an older building. Never the less, I promise you it is not as bad as that individual made it out to be! We did not have a bug infestation in our building and I never once got a sliver from our floors. Additionally, management may not have always perfect, but I can honestly say that the current management (that took over this year) is the most responsive and helpful thus far! They are keepers!
If you are seeking an affordable, spacious, and quiet apartment in an incredible neighborhood this is the apartment for you!

Love my kitchen!
I just moved in about 6 weeks ago. I love the location because it’s in the middle of everything! A grocery store immediately across the street- wonderful! my countertops are gorgeous and the management is friendly. He answered all of my questions promptly and went over and above to make sure I was happy with my apartment after I moved in. I am pleased with the natural lighting and stainless steel appliances. The grass always looks nice when I take my dog out and it’s very quiet. Plenty of... closet space as well. Highly recommended.

The Lex
This property is a piece of work. I will say the location is great you're close to Grand Ave, Trader Joe's, & local Saint Paul stores. But the apartment complex itself is falling apart. There is a huge bug infestation, all of the walls have cracks on them and are falling apart, and management is not good at communicating. It takes weeks for management to respond to emails and if they do respond it's vague and doesn't answer any questions. It practically takes three emails and two phone calls to... get ahold of someone.
The heat in the winter is not stable and some days it feels as if there is no heat in the apartment. Also, the apartment wood floors are splitting and there are exposed patches beware you might even get a couple of splinters from them. All to say beware when touring this property because it may look remodeled or clean but in reality, it's not once you notice one problem 10 more pop up.
