Define Luxury?

I moved into Ansel Apartments in Vadnais Heights in early 2025, drawn to the promise of luxury lakeside living. I chose my unit specifically for the peaceful views and layout and was reassured multiple times that noise wouldn’t be an issue.

Since moving in, I’ve experienced daily noise from the unit above — every footstep, creaking floorboard, and visitor sound carries through. My upstairs neighbors are great people, and the issue is not them — it’s poor construction. Interior doors rattle...
easily, and the soundproofing is lacking. For the premium price, the build quality is disappointing.

Management acknowledged the issue after sending out builders, but no action has been taken. Email responses are slow, often taking weeks.

Additionally, spa rules aren’t enforced. Residents frequently wear street shoes and clothing in the sauna, making it dirty and unsanitary — not the luxury wellness experience advertised.

Ask about noise and amenities — and get everything in writing before you sign.

When you first brought this concern to our attention, we engaged our development team promptly. Since then, we’ve met with you, evaluated the noise firsthand, and confirmed with our development team that there are no structural issues with the building and that the noise is not out of the ordinary. To provide a solution, we had offered transfer options to a top floor apartment in hopes of finding a home that better meets your expectations. At the time you declined this offer. Please know that this is still an option if your decision has changed since our initial offer. Should you wish to discuss this further, please reach out and we are happy to schedule a time to meet with you.
