While the building does have historical charm... , it has also undergone extensive renovations and updates to provide our resident family with the best possible amenities and apartment homes.

Regarding your concerns about mold, please rest assured that we take these matters seriously. Both your apartment and the building have been inspected multiple times at your request. The most recent inspection was completed yesterday, while you were present and there was no evidence of mold found.

We understand you've experienced discomfort in your apartment, and we've taken your concerns seriously. While no community is without its challenges, our commitment remains to provide a clean, comfortable living environment for all our residents.

Thanks for reviewing our Durham community. When moving out, we sincerely appreciate our residents’ efforts to leave their apartments in the best possible condition. However, in some cases, where damages are well beyond normal wear and tear, we are... forced to charge the previous resident for some of the costs required to return the unit to it’s proper condition - the condition you yourself received it when you first moved in. Everyone wants to be proud of their new home and we want to deliver it as clean and presentable as it can possibly be. Since we do not require security deposits upon move-in, all cleaning and repair charges are itemized and presented to you following our final inspections. In your case, that billing was nowhere close to the total you’ve indicated. We appreciate all of our residents and we would never want you to feel as though we’d taken advantage of you.
