I work at the University of Michigan, but can't afford to live in Ann Arbor. While Ypsilanti is affordable, it is not ideal for schools and safety, and I have an elementary-aged child. Out of all of the apartments I looked at in Whitmore Lake, these were by far the largest, most family friendly, and beautiful! I look out my door wall and see woods and landscaping, not more apartments. I feel like I have my own backyard! I have had large dinner parties comfortably in my apartment and get... compliments from my friends and colleagues about my dwelling. I have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, tons of storage, and kind neighbors - a place this nice would be double the price in Ann Arbor! The lake community is charming and the commute to Ann Arbor is short. There is covered parking and a playground for children. The property manager is extremely helpful, flexible, and goes above and beyond - a quick email to him and your troubles are solved. I absolutely love our apartment! It's spacious, clean, and has all the appliances you could ask for including a washer and dryer in unit. The community is great! Very kid friendly, and everyone keeps up on their outside patios. We we're encourage by our awesome apartment manager to really make it feel like home. We we're encourage to paint, hang pictures, anything to make us feel comfortable. Also they are quick to fix any repairs needed.
