Property Details
Hello, my name is Joel. I’m renting 1 room in my 3-bedroom College Park, Maryland single family home. The room is available now. It is meant for one person, no couples. The home is shared by a total of 4 people including whoever moves in. I live in... an apartment downstairs with my own kitchen and bathroom.
The tenants are all males between 51 and 65. However, a female is welcome. We’re respectful of each other and get along well. There is also an 8-year-old dog named Mr. Snuggles who you’ll most likely love. I'm willing to consider any size pet as long as it gets along with mine. Please note, the rent is $700, and we split the internet 4 ways ($25 each.) We also split the utilities 4 ways. The bill total is around $120 per person each month.
The home is right off Route 1 and the Metro-bus stop. We are a mile from the Greenbelt Metro train station. There’s a 24-hour Shell station across the street with a mini mart. There’s also a diner across the street with great food. The room has its own radiator heat, and also a window unit air conditioner. The floor is hardwood, no carpet.
The kitchen has granite countertops, and plenty of cabinets. There’s a washer and dryer downstairs, and a large screened in back porch with comfortable couches and a TV. There is also a deck with a table and chairs and an umbrella along with a privacy fence.
If you’re unfamiliar with the area, and you like to explore nature, there are a number of places to hike that are close by. Reasonable cleanliness, picking up after yourself, and sharing certain responsibilities with your housemates is expected, such as cleaning the oven and bathroom. My goal is to keep harmony in the household.
The amount needed to secure the room and move in is $1400 which consists of the first month’s rent and the security deposit. You must be able to pass a background check and have a credit score of at least 600 or a good explanation as to why you don’t.
Upon signing of the lease $700 is needed to secure the room, and the other $700 is needed before moving in.
Contact Joel at to chat and perhaps make an appointment to check the place out. I look forward to hearing from you.
