Living at Nine East has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The building maintenance is absolutely terrible: during the winter, the heating was so weak that I was freezing inside my own apartment. The hot water was completely unreliable — it would randomly switch between scalding and freezing.
The elevators were constantly broken, and after eight months, they still hadn't been properly fixed. Same with the AC — it was out for eight months as well, with management repeatedly using... the excuse that they were "waiting on parts."
The internet was also extremely unreliable, often cutting out on weekends. Even after they claimed it was fixed, the problems kept happening.
Overall, the maintenance and management here are completely unacceptable, and it seriously affected my quality of life. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a stable, livable apartment.

Not as good
To be fair, it is fine to live. But keep in mind the catch: Awfully slow repair speed: The maintenance guy is good. But anything beyond his capability (elevator, AC, hot water) takes an extremely long time to fix. The leasing office always tells you they are working on it. The elevator almost broken for the whole term!

Ripoff
Be prepared for a horrible experience if you make the mistake of living here. The leasing team is awful and irresponsive to complaints. The building rips off its residents with exorbitant fees such as a required “garbage valet” and $100+ charges for key replacements. The building also has issues with mold and pests. The mold issue is particularly acute due to the lack of fans in the bathroom. Pick another apartment near Homewood instead!

Best leasing team
Came in for a walk in tour. I didn’t have an appointment but was still accommodated. Vernell was quite pleasant and very knowledgeable. She was able to answer all of my questions. ;-)
