Do not move here unless you want to live with roaches, domestic violence and packages stolen right off your doormat. I lived here a year and 9 months and my experience got progressively worse and worse. Despite pest control coming bi weekly every month roaches remained. My dishwasher never cleaned throughly and became a breeding ground for maggots. The ventilation and insulation sucks. Walls are extremely thin you can hear every neighbors cough arguments and footsteps at all hours of the day. It... sounds like they are right in your kitchen. When reporting neighbors domestic violence to office staff I was threatened to have my lease terminated by the manager. Office staff changes every month. When reporting that I didnt want to renew the lease I was lied to and told that I missed the deadline though I was given no mail reciting that. I was told I had to sign off on the website or be enrolled in a month lease that required double the rent. I had to order packages to a family members home because they would be stolen from my door every time and office management would do nothing. They also told me ring cameras were not allowed to be installed. Upon scheduling maintenance they would arrive on a random and completely barge in my hone without knocking because they have keys. As a female that lived alone this made me feel extremely uncomfortable. When reporting this to the leasing office I was read fine print that stated maintenance is allowed to come in without consent in emergency scenarios and none of my maintenance requests were emergencies. The water is always being cut off at random times each month, parking is always packed to the max. The only good thing about this place is that it is spacious. I have been here for 3 years and will not renew my lease for a quite a few reasons. Residents are filthy and inconsiderate. I've literally watched people litter the parking lot and building with 2 dumpsters less than 50 yards apart. That lead to mice inside my unit, I had to set traps in my unit to catch it. Residents leave the building doors open which introduces flies and in one instance there was a bird inside the building. Floors are old and make A LOT of noise throughout the entire unit.... Walls are thin and not sound proof so I hear any and everything neighbors are doing which is awkward at times. Paint chipping off baseboards and walls. Took several maintenance requests to correct and they made a huge mess because they don't seem to respect your living space. A/C and Heating unit is extremely loud. I've had water leaks and all they did was paint over them. Appliances are super old like from the 90s and my refrigerator has been "repaired" twice and still leaks. Parking is horrible and there are a lot of seemingly abandoned vehicles so after 5-6 PM good luck finding parking close to your unit. Not renewing my lease, rather pay more and get more else where. I've been here since February 2020. We will finish our lease. Tldr: it's about 5/10, but you gotta be willing to deal with small problems.

The apartments are beautifully laid out. Living room is extra spacious, even the one bedrooms are great per square unit price. The area is close to interstates; you can get practically anywhere in Baltimore County and City in a jiffy. The office is very friendly.

When we moved in, dogs were not allowed. Apparently they are now. Pet policy seems to be a... "Don't ask, don't tell" kinda thing.
Our bathroom smelled like weed from neighbours. Neighbours are nice, usually keep to themselves kinda thing, occasionally there will be loud music from within gates or out. Floors also seem to be " weak" as you can hear your upstairs walking around.
Parking is ridiculous. If you're not in by 6pm most nights, good luck finding something.
We have had issues with flies (which is more of people keeping the main door open, not apartments), a couple mice, and now we have slugs entering in our kitchen. (Doesn't seem to be from any other point of entry, just the kitchen.)
Maintenance is friendly as well and can do their job well, but it's frustrating because they're backed up all the time.

So basically, it's the smaller issues that kinda sour the whole situation. If you can handle those things, welcome home! The price is great.

The mouse problem is completely out of control. The mice are so bad that they greet you at your car, the apt hallways, in your apt & in the ceilings. I had to break my lease & get the heck away!

So we moved into our new apartment at Arbuta Arms just 3 days ago. I love it! The kitchen is big and open, and that's exactly what we look for in an apartment a kitchen you can actually cook in not one of those galley size mini kitchens.
There is not washer in dryer in unit which I would have preferred, but there are two washers and two dryers in the bottom of each building. So at least I don't have to walk super far to do my laundry.
The staff in the office were all very nice and welcoming....
We are located super close to St.Agnes Hospital where my husband works, and about 5 minutes from Walmart. So that makes our lives working and shopping super easy.
The only down side to the apartment are the roaches, we've only been here 3 days and we've already seen several. I feel like living in a city its impossible to get an apartment without some sort of pest in it though. We contacted the office and I am positive they'll be quickly responsive with this issue as they have been with our entire move-in process.
