With the the park across the street, there are far fewer houses than on most city residential streets, which means that open parking spots are available for 2 or 3 cars at all times, usually, but with with the standard street cleaning hours.

You can commute through the park to Johns Hopkins University, even by bike, weather permitting. Or you have the full, new grocery store of Mom's Organic Market, and the Warehouse Cinema for the movies, are a bit more north in The Rotunda Shopping Mall, with another Giant Foods, and a Walgreens, a few blocks north of that mall. Outlets in this area include The Tavern at Woodbury Kitchen, Artifact Coffee, Union Craft Brewing, Vent Coffee Roasting, Baltimore Spirits, Waverly Brewing, Blue Pit BBQ, Subway and McDonalds. Home Depot is 20-minute drive north on Reiserstown Rd. It's a 30-minute drive to Sam's Club, Lowe's Home Improvement, another Home Depot, Walmart, Walgreens, and GreatWall Supermarket in Catonsville.
