The management and leasing staff make what should be a great apartment community in an excellent location truly UNBEARABLE. First, the leasing office has not had a working phone line for over two months. They can make outgoing calls but cannot receive incoming ones. When residents ask about getting it fixed, they look at you as if you just asked for $1M. Good luck getting anything resolved, as the staff is among the most incompetent and unprofessional I have encountered.

The elevators are out... of service more often than they are working, and it seems like someone is constantly getting trapped inside. When that happens, don't expect help from management. You'll likely have better luck calling the police or emergency services, because the leasing office is essentially unreachable. A functioning phone line and reliable elevators should be the bare minimum, yet this property struggles to provide either.

I have had staff enter my apartment without notice, walk through my bedroom while I was asleep, and then leave my door unlocked when they left. After multiple incidents, I felt compelled to install a Ring camera because this is a serious security concern and an unacceptable violation of privacy. Sending a quick email or making a phone call beforehand would seem like a reasonable expectation. Unfortunately, that would require a leasing office that is actually capable of communicating.

The office staff appears unconcerned with resident satisfaction or their own reputation. They will sit behind their frosted glass door and tell you to make an appointment to speak with them while they twiddle their thumbs. But if you try to call or email to make an appointment, you will never get a response. There is ZERO professionalism in the office, with staff arguing with residents verbally.

After a long process of looking at different units, my boyfriend and I settled on a one bedroom renovated unit in the Rise building. This is our first apartment so we needed some guidance, and the staff was so helpful and answered all of our questions. They wanted it to be perfect too! We have been in our unit for a month now and absolutely love it. Amazing amenities and beautiful renovations!

Subcontractors entering unit WITH key and no knocking while I was sleeping. Unconscious man lying in parking lot overdosed. No security/mgmt present. Excessive pkg theft. Elevator down for months. I moved here last year in June. The week I moved in it was bought by Bain Bridge. I've seen older reviews how previous management was not great, so I thought this new management would be an improvement.

I recently received a notice that my rent is increasing by $1,000 per month. They notified me 3 weeks prior to my lease end date. Despite the unbelievable rent increase, it was... a clear violation of my lease agreement. They should have provided at least 60 days prior notice of rent increase so that I could decide to stay or move out. I tried to settle this directly at the leasing office in a calm manner, but they were unwilling and non-negotiable on terms, and did not honor my lease. They wouldn't even give me 60 days buffer to find a new place without the new rent taken into effect. I feel sorry for the leasing rep at the front desk as she was going back and forth between the manager and myself to attempt to resolve it. The leasing manager didn't even come out to discuss with me. I sought advice from a few different attorneys and they strongly recommended to leave this apartment complex immediately given this company's unprofessional and illegal conduct. I strongly share their advice to anyone currently living here or thinking about living here.

Another example - A few months ago they lost my rent check and tried to charge me a late fee even though it was ME trying to follow up with them to see if they cashed my check yet. Several months later they found my check, tried to cash it, and it bounced because we voided it. They tried to charge us a late fee AGAIN even though the check's date was several months ago.

The only positive aspect of these apartments is the location. Other than that, it's not worth living here. Read More
