Affordable and relatively clean with unique layouts, but at least 50% of my delivered packages were outright stolen and management did absolutely nothing. Gym was always pretty clean but laundry room was usually a mixed bag.

Love living here. Such a charming building & a unique loft layout Im in. I feel like Im a part of a nice little community here. Cant speak highly enough of the management team. I signed my lease during full blown Covid & the staff was so helpful (since I was not allowed to physically see the place) & so quick to respond to any questions/concerns. I LOVE the dog park (dog friendliness), dog grooming room & the little library is my favorite!

Beautiful buildings in a lovely, historic, and safe area of Dorchester. Near trolley and bus routes. Close to supermarket, drugstore, and other shops. Short drive to rt 93. Easy access to a bike path that runs through wooded areas next to the Neponset River.

Disgusting "luxury" complex, avoid this place
The Baker Chocolate Factory is an overpriced and disgusting rental property presented as a "luxury" loft building in Boston. The reality is this place is flat out gross. Trash overflowing everywhere you look, rats + mice all over the place. Laundry facilities are never cleaned and only work properly half of the time. I could go on and on, not worth considering seriously - look elsewhere or suffer the consequences.
This August, they announced with two week warning no more free parking(although... this was promised at the time my lease was signed). Classy of the property management team to effectively increase everyone's rent $50 a month during a pandemic. The only alternative is to park on the street now. Unfortunately there are very few available spots close to the building now that a number of the restaurants in the area are using the space for seating because of COVID.
I haven't even touched on the loud and obnoxious tenants who party all hours of the night in the gazebo in the courtyard. Unless you like running a loud fan all day and night to muffle the sounds, don't waste your time with this place.
