LOOK ELSEWHERE

Within weeks of moving in, I started hearing constant noise from the unit above, stomping and dragging furniture, which was loud enough to disrupt both sleep and studying.

I reported the issue to management, sent videos with timestamps, and have followed up for 8 months now. I emailed, called, texted, and physically played video evidence for them. Management never offered any solution. They just kept saying they'd look into it, but nothing changed. Even now, I can literally hear them at times...
talking. Update: management has, after hearing videos, deemed there to be 0 issue. This is with clear audio of the person above me HAVING A FULL CONVERSATION AND SLAMMING THE DOOR.

Not to mention the power outage issues, the breaker issues, the AC issues, the mold issues, the car break-ins, the homeless people in the building, the unlocked front door so anyone can come inside the building, etc. Good luck getting maintenance, and if you do make sure you're ready for them to come in without any prior notice.

The building buzzer for my unit was broken when I moved in, back in July 2025. I reported it right away and followed up every month, August 2025 through Feb 26. Each time, I got the same answers: "We're working on it." It was never fixed, not once during my entire time living there. So now every delivery, every guest, every time someone needed to get in, you'll have to go downstairs and let them in because the buzzer doesn't work. They say it will be fixed in February 2026, but how can you trust that (Update - Still Nothing).

The EV charger in the parking garage kept going offline, not just once or twice, but over a dozen times. I'd go down to charge my car and find it dead again. I reported it every time. Sometimes it got fixed, but then it would break the same week or even the same day. Even now, as I write this, it's not working again. No matter how many times I asked them to check it, no one could figure out why the charger doesn't work.

Not to mention I also had pest problems inside my own unit, tried to get pest control to come out, lo and behold no one ever came, no appointment was scheduled.

The management company changed this year. I hoped things would improve, but it has been weeks, and nothing changed. Different names, same problems: promises with no follow-through, maintenance requests that go nowhere, and the feeling that once you sign the lease, you're on your own.

DONT LIVE HERE

Moved out of my apartment at Highland Station back in September. Never received my deposit back figured they were busy due to having yet again another property manager (4th one in the year i lived there). Decided to call today and they said i left my apartment dirty and missing appliances. Long story short I’m getting my deposit back because he said “since you have proof your apartment wasn’t dirty we will issue your deposit back”. Seriously how sketchy can you get.

DO NOT LIVE HERE

This place is terrible. From mice, to theft, to homeless people roaming around the halls, to trash smells being present throughout the building because the trash room is attached to the building and it’s not well cared for.

They try to sell you that it’s a secure building. It’s not. During office hours the front door is open. And the trash room garage is left open often due to the bad smell (they try to air it out). One day I went in and a homeless man was picking through the garbage and he...
told me he comes in that way every morning to get coffee at our communal coffee bar.

Nickel and Dime, Terrible Management

Overall the apartment complex is nice, I enjoy my unit, I enjoy the area and I enjoy the amenities. My review strictly comes down to the unethical business practices that continue to come up from my time at the Highland Station. I have lived here about a year and a half now. If you look at all the 5 star reviews of this place they are done by people who have either just moved in or are about to move in. This is due to the fact that they call you very early on in your lease over and over again to... please leave a review and ask if there's anything they can do for you.

Anyone who lives here for a long period of time know that this building is run for one purpose only, and that is to nickel and dime you as harshly as possible. They charge a common electric fee which means you're paying electric fees for any lights or electricity used outside of your unit. Last year they increased the monthly charge of your cable and internet package for $50 a month in the middle of my lease for every person in the building. On top of that they put no cancel or exit ability into your lease, say you are being relocated for work they give you literally 0 option to exit your lease you are stuck onto it until the end of your term. Meaning you are either stuck paying double lease, turning down a great opportunity, or trying to get your company to pay for your lease. There is no ethical standard or loyalty for the group that runs this building. Most Connor Group run buildings will have similar reviews to this and someone from the building will put in the comments that they will solve your issue. There is no solution they just want to make it seem to the public that they are resolving these issues.

We are currently on our third building manager since I have lived here the building is nice but unfortunately it is plagued by the company who run it. I truly thank some of the great people who have worked here. Mike who did maintenance was amazing. Gwen was a past manager and truly tried her best to make this a better place to live.

Unsafe and Absolutely Filthy


The building alarm system is inactive, entrances are left open at night, homeless people wander into the building, trash is not collected and accumulates with the most awful odor throughout the building. Mold and roaches are in common areas. Homeless people live in an adjoining storage unit business and are beginning to camp on the street one block away. If you're a young adult or a woman, I would encourage you to find a safer, cleaner building elsewhere.
