Unprofessional and Inconsistent Leasing Process

Despite reading numerous negative reviews describing poor management and inconsistent communication, I chose to give Running Creek Apartments the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, my own experience confirmed many of those concerns.

I submitted my employment verification, proof of income, and all requested documentation. My employer’s Vice President also offered through her official corporate email to provide any additional employment verification the property required.

Despite this, I was...
later asked to provide personal tax returns, even though my employment had already been verified. The original written communication did not identify personal tax returns as a mandatory requirement for verifying my primary employment income. Instead, the request referred to tax documentation only in connection with income outside of primary employment.

My employer had already verified my employment and was willing to provide additional documentation and prepay six months of rent. I also had excellent credit, an impeccable rental history, and a strong financial profile. Despite all of these factors, additional documentation requirements were imposed that I could not reconcile with the information I had already provided.

What was particularly concerning was the inconsistency between the documentation initially requested and the explanation provided later regarding why my income allegedly could not be verified.

I expected a professional, transparent, and consistent leasing process. Instead, I experienced a process that felt unnecessarily complicated and inconsistent from beginning to end.

I cannot recommend Running Creek Apartments to prospective renters who value transparency, consistency, and professionalism.

Safe, decent prices, but that’s about it

I lived here for 2 years, but I could not handle it any longer. If you’re looking for a pretty safe, and cheap spot to live, you’ll be happy. If you expect anything else, you’ll be heavily let down.

Walls are so thin you can hear every conversation/tv show your neighbors are watching. Creaky floors, hearing running water, and the movie of your neighbor forced me to learn to sleep with air pods in for almost 2 years. The pool was shut for almost the entire first summer I lived there (because one...
family broke some of the property.. not because the pool was actually due for maintenance). No roaches, or excessive bugs even being a first floor unit. Landlord special is about all I can use to describe the place. Little insulation for winter cold, but my unit did well in the summer because it was partially under ground and stayed around 70 without AC. Maintenance was pretty good about getting stuff taken care of in a reasonable time. They found a way to use every penny of my security deposit and even leave me with a 30 dollar balance I had to pay for items I don’t think I should’ve been charged for.

Again, this is a pretty safe, cheap spot with a couple of paper walls to call home..

Solid place

I figured I would leave this review in the event someone else is considering these apts. It's a solid place, no issues. I have a 1BR on first floor and Im in my 2nd lease here. Management is cool, neighbors are nice, parking is fine, and the location is great too. Nothing negative to say overall. Happy with my apt. If you're looking at an apt, Running Creek is worth looking into!

LIVE HERE!

I have lived here for a few months and I am so happy this is the place I chose. Everyone is so friendly and the staff is so welcoming. Sam and Christy in the office alone make me feel at home living here. The very few times I have needed maintenance they were on it immediately and got everything fixed up for me. The location is amazing as well!

Live anywhere but here

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever see. We’ve had cockroaches, everything floods, we have windows that don’t open and the ones that do don’t have screens. They refuse to fix anything and if they do fix it, it’s the cheapest fix possible. They literally put glued rubber tile to cover a gap between my sink and the wall. They painted over the last residents dirt and mess so that when you wash the walls, the dirty just smears. There is mold in both bathrooms and the kitchen and they... continue to say it’s not mold. They have had 3 different front office managers in the last year. No one ever answers emails or returns phone calls. The cars continue to get broken into and they do nothing about it but say “file a police report”. They do nothing about noisy neighbors or problem residents. It’s just a absolutely awful. Charged me $75 for a 2x2 inch square of carpet that needed replaced because the door opens into the carpet. Charged me when I moved out for things THEY fixed incorrectly like the hole in the wall that they patched but never came back to sand or paint. I recommend living literally anywhere else.
