Applied for the apartment 5 months before the lease was supposed to begin. Put me on a wait list and did not contact me any updates until a month before the lease was supposed to start. Now I have to find a new place in under a month.

Applied for an apartment that magically became available mid-month. They refused to prorate rent on the lease agreement and are refusing to return my deposit.

they sent the statement of deposit. I learned they charged cleaning, carpet replacement, painting, and CLEANING AFTER PAINTING and CARPET REPLACEMENT. Don't you think that they are responsible for the cleaning after painting??
I have lived in 3-4 apartments in MHK but this place is the worst. Don't ever consider it.

This place is awful. Not conveniently located to anything in Manhattan except the middle school. Dog “droppings” everywhere so you can’t walk without watching your every step. I’ve seen 3-4 cars have their windshield smashed by college kids using the golf course. The management here is the icing on the cake. If there’s any sort of issue, they say it’s YOUR fault and that you should “be more careful”. Maintenance guys are creepy and caught one them looking through my belongings when they were... supposed to be changing my air filter. Don’t give this place your money. Far better apartment complexes in Manhattan for the price. Not to mention the price increases every year you’re here so it will only get higher.

No place to park. Abandoned unlicensed wrecked vehicles are in the parking lot despite signs posted everywhere that they will be towed . Pool is full of people drinking openly on the weekend even though the first rule is Absolutely No Alcohol, People party on their patio decks till 4 a m. Substance that looks like Mold grows in apartments
