They are very friendly at the beginning when you sign your lease, but at the end they are anything but. I was forced to move out before the end of the month and pay rent through the end of the month. It’s not fair to have it both ways - either prorate the rent or let tenants stay the entire month.
Oh, and they also charged me for a “broken blind” - I have photo evidence of it being in perfectly fine condition upon move out.
Finally, ask for the move out checklist BEFORE signing the lease. My... move out checklist included disassembling light fixtures and washing the glass shades, buying replacement oven drip pans, and buying and using a specific brand of oven cleaner. I’ve never seen a move out checklist like that before - it was honestly shocking.
As others have said on other platforms, this apartment complex is poorly run with inconsistent communication and inadequate maintenance. You will be nickled and dimed. It’s one of the cheapest apartments near Notre Dame for a reason.
