Unsafe and awful service
The layouts are nice
Staff is lacking. And it’s very unsafe. Most doors don’t lock and a lot of crime around the building. A lot of package thefts among residents.

My experience with Artistry Indy management was extremely disappointing. We were actively communicating with the office for months about renewal, trying in good faith to find a workable option and determine whether we could stay. We did not ignore the process or disappear. We raised concerns about pricing, asked for flexibility, and were seriously considering renewal until it became clear that the offers were financially unreasonable. Despite that ongoing communication, management later took the... position that none of those discussions mattered and tried to enforce major additional charges based on a strict notice interpretation.
What made this especially frustrating was the renewal pricing itself. We were shown short term renewal options at rates that were dramatically higher (double in some cases) than our current rent, and when we tried to work with them, the outcome felt less like a reasonable business process and more like an attempt to take advantage of tenants who were trying to act in good faith. As college students, it was incredibly frustrating to deal with a large property owner that seemed more focused on squeezing out extra money than resolving the situation fairly.
In my experience, management was rigid, dismissive, and unwilling to show any meaningful flexibility even though we had been good tenants and had stayed in communication throughout. If you are considering living here, I would strongly encourage you to read every lease term carefully, pay very close attention to notice requirements, and be cautious about relying on renewal discussions to mean anything unless everything is formalized exactly the way management wants it. Based on my experience, I would not recommend living here.

Hi Dylan,
We’re sorry to hear that your experience left you feeling frustrated, as it is always our goal to communicate openly and work with residents throughout the renewal process. We appreciate that you remained in communication with our office... regarding your renewal options and understand that navigating housing decisions can feel stressful and time sensitive.
While our team always aims to assist residents in exploring available options, we are also required to follow the policies and timelines outlined within the lease agreement consistently for all residents. This includes the requirement that notice to vacate be submitted in writing at least 60 days prior to lease expiration, as renewal discussions alone do not serve as formal notice.
We are always happy to provide additional context regarding the offers presented and help explain why certain options may reflect different pricing structures. Please feel free to contact our management team directly at info@artistryindy.com.

Living at The Artistry Apartments for 14 months has been an absolute nightmare. Despite the promises in the lease, many of the amenities were either never provided or constantly unavailable. The elevators were consistently broken, and rarely fixed. My roommate and I almost got trapped multiple times - it was not only frustrating but also dangerous. The valet trash service was another constant headache - inconsistent and unreliable. The gym would have several machines broken, lights in the... hallways would not get replaced, and the hallways were always dirty.
There were always issues with getting work orders completed. No matter how many times we submitted requests, they were consistently ignored. One of the most concerning issues was that management never gave notice when workers were entering our apartment for maintenance, which was a clear violation of the lease.
But the worst experience by far happened in May of this year when a painter crew, who wasn't even supposed to be in our building or unit, was let into our apartment. My roommate and I, both women, were terrified to find our unit completely torn apart. The painters caused over $700 in damage to our personal items--breaking headboards, shattering candles, ruining linens by standing on our beds, and more. This was not only a violation of our space but a serious safety concern.
We had to consult legal advice just to get management to negotiate repayment for the damages. The whole experience has been traumatic and exhausting.
If you are considering living here, please save yourself the stress and avoid The Artistry Apartments at all costs. They don't honor their lease agreements, provide subpar services, and the management is careless with tenant safety and property. This place is not worth your peace of mind.

Please know that we take the safety and well-being of our residents very seriously, and we are reviewing our processes to ensure that something like this never happens again.
We acknowledge that these events should have been handled with more urgency and care, and I’m sorry you had to go through such lengths to have your concerns addressed. We’ve recently undergone management changes and are working hard to improve our operations and service to residents.
Thank you again for your candid review, and we truly wish you all the best in your future home.
Sincerely,

I would highly not recommend. My car has been broken into here multiple times (seems like I'm not the only one) AND had my catalytic converter sawed out of my car and of course the Artistry said it wasn't their problem. An armed man was in the parking garage and the Artistry didn't even think to notify that no one go in there when there were police everywhere. I found a random gun laying outside. And to top it all off they are trying to make me pay over $4000 because I didn't give a 60 day... notice that I was leaving even though my lease is ending. Overall, save yourself the trouble and look for a different apartment.

After I moved out of Artistry Indy, I was issued a full deposit refund. I never received the check from the Artistry. I continued to follow up and even offered to pick it up. The check is expired by now since the Artistry has ignored me for months. I assume Artistry Indy requires its tenants to pay timely and fulfill their obligations in order the keep shelter and avoid negative marks on their credit, however, they lawlessly ignore their residents with no consequences.
