tour
We were given a tour by Mia and she did a great job of explaining all of the different models to us. She also showed us the pool, grills and fire areas. The apartments were very nice and clean, this would be a great option!

Great place to live
My time at Onyx has been fantastic. The leasing office has been incredibly attentive and the community has been very welcoming.

Great place to live at!
I’ve been living at Onyx Apartments in Urbana for a while now, and overall, it’s been a positive experience. The location is excellent, with easy access to campus and nearby amenities, which is super convenient for students. The apartments themselves are modern, well-maintained, and offer good-sized rooms with nice finishes.
The management team has been responsive to maintenance requests, and the community offers great amenities, like the gym and study spaces, which are always a plus. Onyx also... has a good community atmosphere, which makes it feel welcoming.
However, I did experience some roommate issues during my stay, and while the management offers mediation services and transfer options, navigating those processes can be a bit slow and costly (with fees for transfers or relet). That said, the staff is understanding and willing to work with tenants to find solutions.
Overall, I’d recommend Onyx Apartments for anyone looking for a convenient, well-located, and modern place to live in Urbana, especially students.
