It took about a month to realize RBM only cares about nickel and diming you. Sure, all landlords do, so why complain?

RBM is a corporate rental company, not a small local business in the East Metro. As soon as you have a question or concern, they treat you coldly once you sign the contract. The contract is written in such vague legalese that I had to email to ask what it says about terminating early. Long story short there is no buyout clause despite what it says. You will owe the entirety of... the rent in the contract. I could have gotten a lawyer involved but decided against it because I wasn't that desperate to move out.

RBM broadcasts itself on Google reviews, but most of those reviews are incentivized. Ask yourself why good reviews are written in corporate drivel like such and such is "so awesome, they were so helpful." How are they awesome? They're not. They only care about balancing their books.

RBM's business model is designed for a high turnover rate because it makes dollars. Whispering Heights advertises as "luxury," which actually means built fast and cheaply. Quantity, not quality. RBM expects you to leave within your first lease so they can get more money by raising rent higher for the next tenant than if you renewed. My apartment was not acoustically insulated walls are thin and you hear footsteps above and below you. God forbid you live near the gym, tenants drop weights and noise vibrations transfer to the top floor. Noise got so bad I requested a room transfer.

If you live in building 1001 you have to navigate a busy parking lot just to get to the garage, where customers and tenants speed like Formula 1 drivers.

As soon as you sign your lease, you’re dead to management. The apartment is nice, but if you have any issues or concerns, the management/staff literally ignores you. They don’t care at all about pleasing the tenants.

New management is awesome- any issues that come up are solved promptly and with understanding!

BLACK MOLD UNIT 508! Unit 508 is completely infested with black mold in the walls. We have had extensive water damage for 4 months since the day we moved in. The management does not care at all and has yet to remove any black mold or fix the root cause of the water damage. We have a two bedroom apartment and both bedrooms were unusable due to the non stop water leakage. Our humidity in the apartment has reached as high as 80%. They have painted over and covered some of the damage with dry wall,... but are completely ignorant about even bothering to remove the mold. They have also refused to offer us any appropriate compensation for over 4 months of dealing with this. The previous tenants of this unit 508 also experienced the same water damage. The management simply covered the damage with paint rather than fixing the cause of the problem and leased the apartment out to the next person. We have talked to them about what needs to be done countless times but they are being very cheap and refuse to fix the poor infrastructure of the building properly.
