The office team consistently goes above and beyond to ensure tennits feel welcomed, safe, and supported. The office team is always available to answer questions my family member or I have. The building is always clean and promptly addressing any maintenance concerns... .

BED BUGS GALORE SHADY MANAGEMENT
Management is terrible and unprofessional. I lived there for three years, always paid rent on time, and wasn’t a problem tenant. Three months after moving in, I discovered bed bugs, clearly a pre-existing issue, as I found a 2019 review stating the building was infested. Management lied during my tour, claiming there were no pest problems. They treated my unit with heat, and the bugs were gone for two years until new management took over. In April 2024, the bed bugs returned, and it was obvious... they were a building-wide issue, as signs in the laundry room warned against using machines if there was "active bed bug activity." The new Management that came two years after I moved in blamed me and refused heat treatment, even though Orkin offered it.
I decided not to renew my lease and informed them I was leaving. The property manager told me my lease had expired, and I vacated within 30 days, leaving the keys behind. Now, I’ve been sent to collections for leaving without notice, with outrageous charges like $1,000 for trash removal. They lacked compassion despite the bed bugs ruining my belongings. Save your money and don’t move here—I'm already working with a lawyer to dispute the charges.

BED BUGS AND POOR MANAGEMENT!
I moved to the other building under this management, and the whole time I was trying to move, their elevator was broken. After 3 days of staying there, I found bed bugs in the unit. They literally have a sign in their laundry room that says, "Do not wash your clothes if you have bed bugs." That is wish i took it serious. This building is infested with bed bugs. When I told them, they said pest control would come in 3 days. At first, they tried to blame me, like I might have brought bed bugs from... the moving truck. I clarified that I never used a moving truck as I'm a student with limited belongings that I ordered to the new place. Anyway I left the unit, and upon returning, I found out they hadn't done anything, and bed bugs were still there. They lied twice about their pest control, as I didn't see any signs of it. Every time I returned to the unit, I saw bed bugs. Thank God I didn't have a lot of stuff, but I left my mattresses and some belongings there because they were infested. Do not move to this building; the management is so rude and annoying, and this building has bed bugs.

In the right place!
Well its located in the right place, which is Edgewater. Edgewater is located on the Northeast side of Chicago 2 blocks from the lake. The neighborhood is very diverse with rich cultures and food. Transportation will take you to any part of the city, in any direction including the suburbs. The building is located in the middle of everything you can ask for. If you like coffee, don't worry this neighborhood is loaded with café of every sort! If fitness is your games, we got that covered within... walking distance. The building itself is huge with 200 apartments of various sizes. It includes a small gym, laundry room, and the management office is located on the first floor. All packages are delivered in the building, don't have to worry about your package being left out doors. Also, cameras are throughout the building except your apartment and the stairs. Parking is available, but space is limited.

Very nice and clean Building
The Bryn Mawr Apartments located at 5550 N Kenmore Ave is a very nice, clean and well managed property. The lobby looks like a 5 star hotel lobby. The hallways smell fresh all day long. Living here since July 2010, I never had to complain about anything. Definitely it's a must live in property.
