I’ve been living here and unfortunately the biggest issue has been a persistent German cockroach infestation. No matter how clean I keep my apartment (dishes done, trash out, vacuuming regularly), the roaches keep coming back. I’ve even come home from trips to find them concentrated in the kitchen sink area.
It’s extremely frustrating and unsanitary, especially since roaches are known to carry bacteria and can spread quickly through old buildings. I’ve had to buy my own baits and traps just to... keep them under control.
If you’re considering moving here, I’d recommend asking management directly about pest control and checking reviews from other tenants. This is not a minor issue — it’s something you’ll end up dealing with constantly.

For the past seven years we have called this place home. We became husband and wife; then parents here. Great space. Love our neighborhood so much to offer with the lake near by, Andersonville and Lincoln square so close you can walk to everything!
