Overall a nice little apartment and I would make the same choice again if I had to make it today. I renewed my lease last time the opportunity arose, and I'd consider doing it again if I stay in the city past next year.
Pros: -Very close to the lake/bike paths, and lots of good restaurants and bars -The street is generally pretty quiet, so you can escape the city noise -Maintenance requests are handled very quickly for anything important -Cool looking older building
Cons: -Not close to the... El -Fees for issues like lockouts and laundry machines are set very high -Elevator gets stuck a lot assuming it's working at all -No online rent payment -The management team seems perpetually annoyed by any interaction with tenants that involves anything more than you handing them a check
Summary: Good building with mediocre management. You could do much worse
