It checks every box on our list: low crime rates, close to Decatur, easy access to 285, spacious floor plans, affordable, pet-friendly, effective roach treatments, and great staff. I don't actually live here as yet since i'm still calling around in search of a new residence, however, Beverly was very warm and attentive during our call. Unlike many other apartment community staff members i've spoken to over the past few weeks, she didn't make me feel rushed or as if i were being bothersome with all of my questions (which I have a right to ask). So if nothing else, I give her 5 stars for her customer service!

Avondale Reserve looks like a great cheap option close to the great areas new Avondale Estates and Decatur. And they are polite and nice until you move in. Afterwards, you can count on rudeness from the office, lack of maintenance, horrible quality, and misinformation in abundance. They lie to you when you are in the office signing the paperwork and then change their statements once you move out, charging you extensively. When I first moved in, i was told that the pet fee was to cover replacing... the carpets, because of allergy concerns you can't keep the same carpets when a new person moves in. Now i'm being charged for replacing the carpets.

Don't move here. Don't get caught in their lies and ultimately having to shell out more money on a place that just isn't worth it. Read More
