I lived at Anthem on Ashley for two years. The location is convenient, but ongoing management and maintenance issues make it hard to recommend this community.

Management is unreliable and unresponsive. There have been 6 different leasing managers in the past 1.5 years, and getting a response to any issue is nearly impossible.

Elevators and parking gates are frequently broken, which has led to individuals sleeping in the stairwells. Packages are routinely stolen (in one case, by a neighbor... (!!!!), caught on camera) or lost through the new Fetch delivery system, which now charges residents an additional fee. Amenities are often closed, and "renovations" tend to drag on for months with little visible progress.

Most seriously, pool-facing, 2nd-floor apartments are prone to significant flooding during heavy rain. The pool's perimeter drain is covered with decorative rocks (assuming for aesthetic reasons) which prevents proper drainage and pool-facing units end up with several inches of standing water for hours at a time. This was such a common occurrence that maintenance would proactively come by with a vacuum for units known to flood regularly, even before a maintenance request was submitted, meaning management was fully aware this was a recurring, building-wide issue.

My own apartment flooded on three separate occasions (causing thousands of dollars in damage to my personal property) and management’s only response to help dry out the standing water afterward was to bring in a fan which I had to specifically request !! I provided time-stamped pictures and videos showing water actively entering the apartment while pushing for a permanent fix, but management claimed it was likely just residual water that hadn't been vacuumed, even with the footage clearly showing new flooding. Despite knowing that 2nd-floor apartments flooded during heavy rain, management never investigated the underlying structural or drainage issues, responded to my concerns, or attempted to remedy the situation. The apartment is nice and quiet, located at a beautiful neighborhood. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Holly, who helped me through the move in process and always responds to my requests on a timely manner.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The management is completely incompetent, disrespectful, condescending, and unprofessional. They do not honor lease agreements and approach issues with accusations, a NASTY attitude, and raising their voices like children. Jerald is the worst of them all and needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY. On top of that, the entire building is falling apart--my ceiling caved in due to structural damage from the unit above me with no management urgency... to repair it, my electric bill was well over $500 due to lack of routine maintenance to refill the Freon for my AC unit, BOTH of the elevators are out of service more often than they are working, and there might as well not be a parking gate because it's broken 99% of the time. The lack of care to tenant security is so nonexistent that there was even a HOMELESS MAN LIVING IN THE LOUNGE FOR 2 WEEKS. The worst part is that this is only the tip of the iceberg. Great location! Huge closets! Can’t wait for the dog wash to be installed!

We lived at AoA for two years (4/21-6/23). New to the city, we found the location to be unbeatable. The property allows for easy access to the beltline, the highway, and is very walkable in the surrounding areas. The unit was clean and suited us well. Over the two years of living there, rent increased 37% in total before we decided that it was not worth living there. This would have been significantly easier to swallow had there been upgrades to the property, additional amenities, or really... anything that added value to being a resident at Anthem on Ashley. In fact, the opposite typically happened. The stairwells consistently had an odor, the elevators would regularly be out of service, and the garage gate regularly did not shut for days at a time. Two of my bikes were defaced/stolen, but there are zero cameras in the dimly lit parking garage. If you plan on bringing issues to the management team, you need to physically walk into the office because you will not receive an email response. We had a number of different agents in the office, as there is constant turnover. They tend to "go into the wrong folder" more often than not. Overall, it was a fine experience living at AoA.
