Bay Crossing is a wonderful, safe gated community to live in. I am a single female in my 30s and lived here from Dec 2021 until March of 2024. It is definitely an older property, but it is nice & in the very best location! You can quickly & safely walk to Publix/Publix Liquors, Target, several great restaurants & bars close by, South Tampa YMCA AND it's about a mile from the beautiful Bayshore Blvd, the longest continuous sidewalk in the world right alongside the bay! I would walk daily to... Bayshore right from my apartment which was amazing! It's also only 15 minutes to Tampa Int'l Airport. The pool at this community is very tranquil surrounded by a cute lake with fountains, ducks and turtles.
The property staff once it was taken over by Haven Residential is top notch! Loren Rivera and his team (Annamaria & Ariel) as well as the maintenance staff are so helpful. Any time I had any kind of maintenance opportunity, they immediately worked to resolve it. They truly care about ensuring your home is as comfortable as possible for you. Loren has been working hard to make a plethora of improvements to the property. Since living there the whole community was repainted, the plants were redone, the numbering on the doors was updated, among many other upgrades. I highly recommend these apartments to anyone moving to Tampa!

I have lived here for a little over 2 years. This is a great place to live for many reasons. 1. the grounds are very well maintained. 2. The location is great with out much traffic. 3. Management staff are very friendly and attentive. If, and the is a big if, you have an issue they are extremely quick to respond and generally do care. 4. This is the same with the maintenance staff. They are amazingly fast, and fix the issue the first time. I had an issue with my AC and it was fixed within 2... hours of notifying the office. In the two years I have lived here, I have only had 2 issues and they were both fixed the same day!

The landscaping is cute.
They're increasing the rent by $120 for doors that are rotting off the hinges, water that is orange, black goo is oozing from the bathroom sink, the floorboards of the 2nd story unit above mine crack like a bullwhip anytime the owner is home, and for front row seats to the 11 am drag races down Himes avenue.

My daughter & I have been living in Avesta Bay Crossing apartments for over a year now. I’ve never had any issues at all. For example, the lightbulb in the kitchen went out yesterday, so I put in a maintenance request & it was fixed not even 2 hours later. The location is great! You can walk to Publix and Target and there is plenty of parking anywhere in the complex (Which has been an issue at other condos/apartments we’ve lived in in south tampa). The school district is Ballast Point for... Elementary & my daughter loves it there! We utilized the onsite amenities all of the time (pool & gym). Justin, Dayma & Kathy (the office staff) have always been very polite & helpful. For example, my mother visited me recently and accidentally took my mailbox key back (out of state with her) so she had to mail it back, and the office staff kindly let me into my mailbox every day until it arrived. Overall great place to live for us!
