I usually dont do reviews but I wanted to get the word out to people that really care about where they live. We lived in Portico from 2024-2025 and decided to move out of the area. After a short time we realized we wanted to move back. During our stint here we learned about the area and actually loved Shalimar’s location as we drove by it occasionally. It is located in a great area; centered between the major malls, nearby both interstates, near the beach but far enough away to be nice, and... top quality in terms of amenities. The two pools have outstanding cooking areas, both with sinks, refrigerator, and ice machines. The property is one of those spots you never have to leave. Soon after we moved in we met Basil. REMARKABLE customer service skills. I would say the best I have ever witnessed. He not only fixes what little problems we have had here, he ensures it is made right with common sense tactics. He creates a family type dynamic in the community, networking and bringing folks together. Because of the staff here and Basils leadership, our experience here at Shalimar has been like a dream. Basil is absolutely amazing and always so helpful with any questions we have. We love living here and take full advantage of the wonderful amenities they have to offer. We enjoy our quiet evenings by the pool cooking dinner and relaxing. There are table tennis areas at both pools if you’re in the mood for a little competition. Their gym has everything we need and we are avid gym goers, so that says a lot. There’s ample space on property for long walks and there are two lakes to enjoy a little... down time watching the ducks. Everyone has been so welcoming even to our dogs.
