the amenities are amazing, the pool was the reason I move in. There’s a lot of things to eat and do walking distance. Now the cleaning and keeping the place as great as it was the first year I moved in has change. It’s also the residents which don’t care about the place, the pool has no shade so it’s a little hard to stay long up there, the elevators always smell bad, the floor is dirty and it’s worse during the weekends, the lobby used to have an amazing smell when I moved in, not any more. The... cleaning in general is my big issue, plus my washer broke down, they tried to repaired and switch it with another one they had available which was dirty as hell. Inside and out, I had to spend hours cleaning the washer that probably was from another unit, while mine looked brand because I took care of it. I very much enjoyed Oaklyn at first but I was surprised to see so many tenants moving in and out so quickly and I was later told that Oaklyn was Section 8 housing. But I was more disappointed to learn that the "refundable" deposit that I provided when I moved in turned out not to be "refundable". Had I known I would not have spent so much time assuring the apartment was like new upon my departure. I even had the head of maintenance walk through and clear me before I returned my key fob

I’m already 2 years here, did renew for another year. I like the stores nearby and what we have in our building food wise and exercise wise. The pool area is my favorite the only thing is that there’s no shade at all, so summer and even spring is a killing sun, the furniture is getting old and some are ripping. The grill 1 out of 3 works most of the time. The package room should have someone that just double check it during the day to see it’s not overflowing or when they’re is dropping off big... boxes they should have another assigned space. The games at the club house are also beat up and not well maintained sadly. When maintenance changed my washer they bring me a spare that was really dirty and nasty, I had to deep clean the machine. It’s a nice building and the staff are nice. Packages are always going missing. The hot tub seems to be working only half the time. They keep it clean and there are a lot of events I haven’t been to any but it’s nice to know there is something there. Seems to be expensive for the area however you do have a lot of amenities just would be nice if they worked more (hot tub specifically).

I love living at Oaklyn! The staff are very friendly and always happy to help, the rooftop is awesome and the other amenities are clean and nice. The neighborhood is a good location because you can walk to everything you might need and the shops/restaurants downstairs have nice variety. Would definitely recommend living here!
