I’ve been living at Somerset Grove and my experience has been very positive. The community is quiet, surrounded by greenery, and the apartments are spacious compared to many places in the area.
Management and the office staff are always respectful and do their best to help me. Maintenance requests are handled as quickly as possible, considering the size of the community, and I’ve personally seen the team working constantly around the property to keep everything clean and improving the buildings... .
The property has been making renovations and improvements, and you can tell they are putting effort into maintaining the community. The pool area and green spaces are really nice, and overall it’s a peaceful place to live.

Do not be fooled by the glitzy pictures and even the large units…these buildings have been around for years with very little renovation and maintenance to the actual tenants apts. The front office can be janky with information. Third party contractors come get keys to ALL apartments and come in to “service” without your prior notice. Dogs have now been allowed and there is no regulation for it, so poop everywhere. They have a pool but close it whenever they feel like restricting access. There is... no 24-hour security, watch your own. Mold and Mildew seep through many of these units because they only do aesthetic touch up jobs for the next victim. Somerset is very much a temporary stay. Some neighbors can be sketchy, predatory and loud. They do very little about the cleaning throughout the property, Just the outskirts for visitor visuals. The property is beautiful, but if you move here be watchful of the maintenance “come in whenever”, the front office staff and overall livability of the unit you will actually be residing in. I had family members that stayed here so i was a guest their the apartment are very nice size and clean very good maintenance people front office always helpful it’s just that one lady at the front gate very rude very unprofessional it was like she didn’t want to be at work give everybody a hard time also have the line almost to the light

I have lived here for awhile now. There has been several problems so for one there are roaches everywhere (trash area, laundry room, elevators, and apartments). They have a pest control company but whatever they use doesn't work. I even called Terminex and the issue was resolved in my unit after one treatment. However, when I denied access to the terminator they provided the owner threatened to evict me so I was forced to use them and the roaches came back. The elevator breaks down so much and... normally on the weekends. They have huge sliding patio doors however some units have blinds and some don't, if you want them they have to be custom made at a lil over $200. Then the rent use to come with cable which was what the higher rent cost was for and now no longer offered after Sept. 1st 2017. Next the major issue is the washer machines they are always broken. Either it fills with water but doesn't wash, the timer runs down, it doesn't spin dry etc. One of the dryers steam dries but clothes are still wet. The owner had the audacity to send a letter stating that it cost him $500 to have them fixed and for residents not to wash any comforters or rugs. Like really in this big complex you think he would by the industrial washers. However, the owner is cheap and rude. Office staff and maintenance are very nice and the neighbors are not bad. I lived there about two years ago. Whenever I had a problem, maintenance always came in a timely matter to resolve the issue. The front office staff was always very polite and helpful. The property always stayed clean. The best thing for me was that there were working washer and dryers on site on each floor. When my current lease is up, I will be moving back to Somerset.
