The management here is god-awful. Trash compactors in the entire neighborhood will be broken at the same time and will result in residents (and valet trash) piling up trash in the neighborhood like it’s a third-world country. Landscaping will not be done. The office staff are generally unhelpful and require multiple follow ups (think atleast 3 times) for any simple request to be completed.
The building quality is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Don’t... be duped by any of the remodels, the building is absolutely bottom of the barrel garbage quality. Pray you’re on a top level apartment because every step you take can be felt and heard across multiple levels. You can hear every front door slamming from your own unit multiple apartments over. The parent company is an obvious case of corporate landlords that keep the place “running” by doing the absolute bare minimum.
There were instances of families renting a garage unit to run a car repair side business out of. Also incidents of fellow residents renting out units on air bnb so you never know who you’re living next to for the week/weekend. If you’re handicapped and need parking, I’m so sorry, but good luck…I have never in my life seen so many inconsiderate people parking in handicap spots or parking their truck on a sidewalk. Part of me thinks this is due to the land scaping issue mentioned earlier as the already-limited number of spots are frequently unusable due to trees hanging all over them.
The management here is good at one thing though…even though there may be mold issues, amenities permanently broken and packages that get stolen from the mailroom because the door doesn’t close properly, they are very good at collecting money. In fact, I received my post-move out bill about 15 days after I moved out but they never provided me a payment link (checked spam, promotions, junk, everything). I followed up 4 different times in email to request the link, called multiple times with no call back but finally got a hold of them and they gave me the link in minutes. I paid the bill right there and the next day? Received that same bill from a collections agency. If you move here, god bless your soul.

Nice apartments, terrible maintenance and worse management
The apartments are spacious, bright, pleasant, and comfortable. But maintenance is inadequate and slow, and management staff is unresponsive and unhelpful. When everything is working properly, the apartment is fine. When something breaks, trying to get it fixed is apparently impossible. Management are happy to get in contact when it's THEIR problem, and they want residents to do something, but they fail to reply to messages from a resident with legitimate questions and concerns. Find somewhere... with management who at least pretend to care about the comfort of their residents.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
While the location is good and the community is quiet, I would not recommend living here due to serious shady management and maintenance issues. I had a maintenance emergency for my garbage disposal that was leaking and called more than three times with no answer, which is unacceptable for urgent situations. Additionally, work orders were marked as completed even though the repairs were never done. On top of that, I am being charged double for trash service without explanation, and have been... trying to get in contact with management, but they have not been picking up their calls. I would go to the office if could, but it would be impossible due to work. Furthermore, poor communication and lack of accountability make living here frustrating. If management improves, this could be a great place to live, but based on my experience. I would advise others to proceed with caution before signing a lease.

Uptown Village has numerous problems
former longtime resident - The apartment's common areas have been allowed to go to heck. Maintenance crews have quit time and time again, with some periods of weeks without a maintenance crew. Several pieces of gym equipment have been broken for years. Many, dangerous and lifting, gym floor tiles have not been replaced for years. Resident's common outdoors ranges have been broken for a year. Rotten, collapsed, outdoor pergola at the pool was left unrepaired for nearly a year. Once... repaired, not the way it was, it has not been painted. No landscape maintenance during the winter months. Large, heavy, commercial trucks are allowed to use several parking spots each. The quality of the tenants went down hill. Trash is allowed to be piled up for a week or more all around the trash compactors and recycle containers. Place is a mess.

Do not move here
I spent a year living at uptown village. If you tour the complex you will see chained up grills in the pool area, a hole in ceiling of the mail room, a dumpster in the parking lot and yellow tape around the garbage compactors. These were here the day I moved in and will remain unfixed by the day I move out. The lack of complex upkeep seen across the community reflects the same maintenance upkeep seen inside each apartment. If you can remember the two hurricanes that hit Gainesville back to back... that is how long the drywall in my guest bedroom has been soaking wet, cracked, and potentially molding without being fixed by management. Uptown may seem affordable however the issues that run deep within this community will affect your daily living more than a better apartment will affect your wallet.
