Gross, unhealthy apartments at 4520 macarthur blvd. Mice, mold, leaks, old and dangerous appliances. Drug traffickers in the building and policeman show up from time to time in the building. Amazon packages being stolen in the lobby. Greedy fitzerald managers who never answer the phone and only care to cash the rent, incompetent and liar building manager, Ray, and has no clue to fix anything properly in that building. Totally unhealthy building for human being ...only fit for rats and mice... and apparently according to my neighbor who just left....bed bugs. I am getting out of here asap.

Finally Getting Out!
I really didn't have a huge problem with this place until the last few months. Sure, it's wildly inconvenient in that the buses are pretty much never on schedule and there's no metro, no grocery store close by, old appliances in the kitchen, the water MUST be filtered because the pipes are so old the water tastes like iron and turns everything it touches orange....but the neighborhood is safe and pleasant, and Kristina's coffee shop down the street was a saving Grace. However, what has... disappointed me most (second most, actually, if you factor in the leaks in my ceiling that resulted in collapsed ceiling material all over my possessions when they took a full month to come look at it....on two separate occasions) is the fact that they continue to show my apartment to potential renters without my permission. For instance, today I was returning from an appointment to work from home, and I had some uninvited visitors! It made me feel super safe knowing that, had I been in the shower and unable to hear a knock at the door, there would have been strangers in my apartment. But, again, Kristina's was a plus.

Worst apartments in DC
I wish I could completely write out everything but to sum it up, the service sucks; we had mold in the bathroom and were told it would be taken care of... two months later and still nothing. It smelled so bad, I'm sure that mold got us sick. A rat was running around in our APARTMENT. We didn't stay there for a week because I was so disgusted. Also, it smelled like marijuana almost always in the building. We're moving out ASAP.
