Avoid Harvard Hall - No Hot Water and Bad Management

Harvard Hall continues to struggle with providing consistent hot water. During my time here, there have been numerous days without hot water—sometimes brief outages, other times lasting multiple days. This has been an ongoing issue spanning many months, yet the building has never provided a clear explanation or permanent resolution.

Management’s communication around these outages is poor and, at times, misleading. On at least one occasion, residents were told that vendors were actively working...
on the issue when, in fact, no work was being done. The lack of transparency and accountability is frustrating, especially when it involves a basic necessity like hot water.

Nice building but TERRIBLE maintenance service

Harvard Hall is a newly-renovated historical apartment building. The units are nice. The amenities are nice. The staff are fine. The rents are high for the area.

My primary issue is with the way the management company handles maintenance requests. You call their "service center," which is a call-center/middle-man who redirects your requests to actual maintenance staff. I've had so many issues with the service center that it makes it not worth it living in any building managed by this company....
Incompetent is how I would describe the service center. Be warned.

If you put in a maintenance request after hours Friday night or on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), you WILL NOT have maintenance assist you until Monday at the earliest (if they have availability, I've had them push to middle of the week!). Only "emergencies" get priority, and only the service center staff decide what is an emergency, and they have gotten it wrong before.

TLDR: Nice building. Nice amenities. Unreasonably expensive rent. Terrible maintenance service. Stay away and save money if you can.
