I have been dealing with an on again and off again issue with mice. Like the person who commented in 2021, the property manager and 4200 Cathedral Ave Board are satisfied with Orkin coming and leaving sticky traps. I thought the issue was resolved after holes were closed in the unit, but a year later, I started to see droppings again, and saw a mouse in the unit. The property has mice!

Mice
I am a current resident who is experiencing issues with mice. The property manager seems satisfied with Orkin coming in and laying down traps. No further treatment is being conducted. For newly 2 months I had to deal with the stress of seeing a mouse, or their constant droppings throughout the unit. Neighbors also have experienced mice issues, however, no aggressive measures are being taken by the 4200 Cathedral Avenue Board or the building manager. the situation has led to anxiety, added stress... , and frustration to say the least.

4200 Cathedral, by AU
4200 Cathedral is a condo building, so you need to go through a realtor or owner to get a rental there. It is well located in Cathedral Heights neighborhood. It's a 10 minute walk to American University where you can catch the free shuttle to the tenley town metro station (red line) and there are all the major bus routes right outside the building. It is also close to Georgwtownand American University Park. It has parking available if you want it and a rooftop and laundromat in the basement..... nothing else in terms of amenities. For my apartment the utilites are included and we got Comcast setup. Internet and cell service is pretty strong. Depending on where your apartment is in the building, you can have a very nice view of the woods around the back and side of the building. There are mostly elderly residents and some AU students in the building so it's calm and clean. Management downstairs are mostly nice to the residents but some have attitudes. Overall it's a gorgeous place with no pest problems, 70s art deco decor, well taken care of apartmens.
