While there has been significant changes in management, I have to disagree with the reviews below.

Management has always addressed every concern and maintenance request in a timely manner. Recently the property manager began to manage other properties and therefore they are not at the property every day. However, even with them not being there the property is running smooth and everything seems to still get done.

Landscaping is always on point, pool opened right on time this year and they... are very understanding with residents and things that come up.

Rent increases are a little high, but so is the current market.

All in all this property is a great place to live and I would recommend to anyone looking for a well maintained community. Read More

The reviews are not accurate.

Fennwoode is a great place to live and not because of the great qualities the property has but because management is very prompt with their responses and really cares about the residents.

The property manager manages other properties so of course there’s no one in the office. However, the property manager is very sweet and has always addressed every concern with care and communication.

As with any other property there are changes in rent but they have still... considered the residents by not adding additional fees such as parking fee, amenity fee and or water fee. The rent is also still significantly lower than comparable units surrounding the area.

Unfortunately, people are truly never happy and that’s not managements problem to solve.

Please read all reviews posted after May, 2024, when the new management took over. Based on my experience, the reviews written since May, 2024 accurately reflect the current situation at this property.

The property itself is very nice. It has a pool, a picnic area, and a small wooded area that make it a pleasant place to live.

One area that deserves praise is the maintenance team. In my experience, maintenance requests are handled professionally and efficiently. The maintenance staff has been... responsive and does an excellent job keeping the property in good condition.

Unfortunately, management has changed significantly since the new ownership took over. While I cannot speak for the owners themselves, the property management experience has been disappointing. The property manager appears unwilling or unable to resolve issues, often stating that she does not have the authority to address them, even when the requests seem reasonable.

Another concern is office availability. Although office hours are listed as 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, it is often difficult to find anyone in the office during those posted hours. On multiple occasions, the office was unattended during the morning and later afternoon.

The billing system is another weak point. It is confusing, difficult to navigate, and creates unnecessary frustration for residents. Better communication and a more resident-friendly billing process would significantly improve the overall experience.

The property has many positive qualities, but prospective residents should be aware that management responsiveness, office availability, and billing issues may be challenges. New management is a nightmare. Incomplete or late communication on changes or emergencies like water shutoff. "Renovations" to the property are mostly valueless to tenants, including new balcony light fixtures, new building signage, branded hallway floor mats, as well as touchscreen building access that hinders package deliveries. Lease renewals have been skyrocketed 20%+ since last year and there is no value added to the tenant to justify it. They've gone so far as to raise washer/dryer... prices by 29% with no warning, yet the laundry rooms aren't being maintained or cleaned since the change in management end of 2024. The communal halls and stairwells aren't even vacuumed on a regular basis and are dirty. Steer clear of this place, these facilities are not good enough to demand these prices. Oh and the posted images are completely doctored with modern design, falsely advertising the accommodations. There is no recessed lighting in ceilings, floors are mostly carpet, laundry is in the basement of each building, no microwave included in kitchen etc... Read More

Used to be a solid place to live, mostly due to reasonable rent and excellent management. However the buildings are old and rent hikes make it far more attractive to rent nearby Blue Back Square or further away where prices are similar to previous
Fennwoode rates. It cannot be overstated the incompetency of the new management company. Problems which used to be taken care of quickly are never truly resolved, horrible communication with tenants, water shut off without giving 24 hours notice,... unresponsive, dismissive and willing to charge tenants for pointless unwanted "upgrades" and not take care of basic repairs.
