I'm going to write a more concise review and I'm going to have to leave some things out since... of course... my first review was taken down (wonder why). Simply put, don't live here. Don't let your child who goes to UConn live here. period. WIFI issues for the first 3 months (1/4 of the lease). A whole building that got condemned. Poor, unresponsive management. Terrible parking. Straight up lies about a "walkable community". Don't give this company a dime.

Paying for amenities that might as well not exist
The WiFi at The Standard Apartments is consistently terrible, to the point of being almost unusable for anything important. The connection drops constantly, especially during peak hours, making it a nightmare to attend online classes, join a video meeting for work, or even just stream a movie without endless buffering.
What makes this even more frustrating is that management simply does not care. Despite numerous complaints and maintenance requests from residents, the issue is completely... ignored. We're met with dismissive attitudes or empty promises that it's "being looked into," but nothing ever changes. It feels like we are paying for a key amenity that isn't being provided, and the staff couldn't be bothered to fix it.
