MESSES WITH YOUR INCOME SO YOU DONT QUALIFY
I’m extremely frustrated with my experience applying here. After submitting our application, we were told that we “make too much” to qualify, which didn’t make sense based on our actual income. When I asked for clarification, they provided a spreadsheet—but the calculations were clearly incorrect.
They divided our year-to-date earnings by 3 weeks instead of 4, which significantly inflated our weekly income. Because of this error, it made it look like we earn far more than we actually do. When... calculated correctly, our income is under $50,000, meaning we should qualify.
It’s really disappointing to see a “low income” apartment complex mishandle something as important as income verification—especially when affordable housing is already so difficult to find. This process felt unfair and misleading, and I hope they take steps to ensure their calculations are accurate for future applicants.
