Maintenance is quick to respond sometimes, not at all at other times. Management ignores its own rules out of convenience. Parking and thoroughfares are difficult most of the time. I've lived at Summit View for 3 years. The buildings themselves are older but the management is so good that it isn't an issue. Maintenance requests are usually dealt with the same day. The main office is responsive to calls, e-mails and drop-ins. They communicate with us very well and proactively, and they organize regular optional events for engaging with the community. My only gripe with the complex is that there is no in-unit laundry and that the air conditioning is in the living room and... not the bedroom where I think it's needed more. The parking is horrible. People constantly are ruining the hut tub and pool area as it's shut down every week or 2. The management is not considerate of people's work/sleep schedules. I work nights not getting to bed till 2am-4am and they have people working using a hammer drill on the walls and banging on the walls at 8am. This place is a mess when it comes to managing parking as well. The water is shut off almost everyday cause the water system constantly breaks. Mold started forming on the... bathroom wall because the unit above was leaking from their shower drain. Carpet in my unit was never changed and the bedroom carpet started growing mold and I had to buy treatment in order for it to be fixed. Unless you have a new furnished apartment that they recently did renovations on, everything is insanely old and worn down. Stuff in our apartment breaks every week and the first day we moved here out shades fell off. Remakes of cigarettes and keeps getting more expensive. The neighbors are rude (not summit views fault) but the staff is rude too. This place is way over priced.
The AC doesn’t keep up in the summer on average in the summer the apt was 85 degrees.
The front office is very shady. They said they gave me a parking pass but never did. My friend got a job there and looked it up. Of course a new parking pass is 50$.
When moved out was charged 200$ for not returning it!!!!
