It's the only place I've lived that didn't powerwash stairs periodically. The interior stairwell was disgusting. It stunk too. I was embarrassed to have guests over. Maintenance requests about it went ignored.
The hallways were dirty and vandalized. I found myself frequently stepping over dog poop in there. The emergency exit sign dangled from the hallway ceiling by a wire. I still don't understand why the management company didn't install a few cameras with all the common area fees they... collected from residents.
Then there was the unreliable parking, friends' slashed tires and sheared off sideview mirrors, motorcycles screaming down 8th Ave at 2am, a nightly 4am car alarm, and addicts camped in the bus booth and alleyway leaving needles and other debris to step over.
Also, the building's entry system terminal was frequently vandalized beyond usability, limiting authorized entry and delaying deliveries.

Our team cleans the stairwells every other week, though we understand that the stained concrete can give the... impression of dirt even after cleaning. We’ve also maintained a consistent hallway cleaning schedule for years, with cleanings taking place weekly as they always have.
To clarify, residents are not charged for common area maintenance, and Cornerstone does not own this building. We manage it on behalf of the owner. However, we continue to advocate for improvements wherever possible.
We were proud to be one of the first apartment communities in Denver to install actively monitored security cameras, and this property currently has four. Additionally, the building’s callbox was reinforced with a custom Swiftlane screen cover over a year ago, and we haven’t seen further damage since.
As for the concerns you raised about activity in the surrounding neighborhood, we understand how these issues can be frustrating. While some of these are outside our control, we take all feedback seriously and remain committed to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

We're so sorry to hear you've had a negative experience at one of the buildings we manage. Unfortunately, package theft is an ongoing problem residents all over Denver experience. We do everything we can to prevent this from happening, like... giving easy-to-follow instructions to package delivery companies and providing package locker systems where we can. Terrible management will ruin your credit
The location and overall units are amazing. But the management is AWFUL. I contacted multiple managers over a month trying to figure out what an extra charge on my account was. After a month of no responses from emails or calls, I come home to a Demand for Payment on my door, without telling me what the extra charge was or even reaching back out to me. After finally getting in contact with SOMEONE, they said they were just having a "busy season". Apparently not busy enough to ruin people's... credit with Demand of Payments left on our doors.
Do not live here if you plan on asking anyone any kind of questions because you will never get a response. I truly loved this place until the final straw with the management made sure I will not be re-upping my lease.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY!
Since the very first day we moved to JUX apartments in Capitol Hill, we have had consistent serious issues that put in question the habitability of this property. At this point, we have endured: - Moving in to a property that has not been ready and cleaned, with all our belongings placed in a unit full of post-construction dirt. - Demolition of both bathrooms to correct improperly installed plumbing. - Continued demolition to correct ongoing water leaks from time of construction, which was very... disruptive to our daily routine, and when work was completed, the workman failed to return the bathroom to a clean and orderly state. This has left us concerned about problems with ongoing mold. - Security issues with the mail area, which resulted in multiple packages being stolen from the property. Our personal loss was around $500 total. - Persistent and serious issues with the air conditioning since June 2019, which have not yet been resolved after multiple work orders. We have spent our summer in a unit with a constant temperature of 80+ degrees. The current suggested solution will likely require major construction to re-run AC lines, while we inhabit the unit. - Consistent issues with appliances and other installations in the unit that take weeks to get fixed.
It is important to mention that we work from home and these issues have had a huge impact on our everyday lives, our privacy and our ability to rest and relax inside our home.
The property management has not been sufficiently addressing our concerns, has not been responsive and has not offered financial compensation for all the inconveniences. And most importantly, the ownership group has not approved our request to waive a lease break fee so we can move away from this poorly constructed property and our agonizing experience that has not lived up to the expectations we have for a premium-priced property.
