This is the absolute best place that I have ever lived at hands down!
I have lived here for a few years now and I call this my home!
The apartment are extremely spacious! There is so much closet space, there is plenty of space to store things not to mention the patio outside. It’s extremely safe here, it’s very private and extremely clean well kept and beautiful!
There are many amenities here such as a large pool, hot tub sauna and a laundry room. There are many places to take nice walks here... . The management here is absolutely fantastic and well organized! Both Rey and AJ are extremely helpful and extremely professional and have always assisted in my apartment if I needed a maintenance request! Or if I had a problem that needed attention! AJ has even come to my apartment to fix things when there was a problem! This the best management I have ever encountered at any place that I have lived at! I'm not sure why this place is getting bad reviews. It seems like people may be too harsh. In a few months my one year lease will be up and I've loved living here. I've talked to Ray a few times and he seems nice and responsive to the tenants' needs. AJ is also great and the maintenance team is excellent. Whenever I've had a problem they've come in the same day to fix it which I really appreciated.

For parking, each apartment gets one assigned spot that is under a parking structure. There is... plenty of other parking and even street parking so parking was never a problem for me. The spots are a bit small but I think that's to accommodate all cars so everyone can find a spot.

Internet (which is pretty fast) and cable is included in the rent and the second floor units have high ceilings which makes it feel very spacious. There's a lot of storage space and the pool is nicely maintained during the summer. Everything in the apartment works great. The stove is electric and old but it does the job. They take really good care of the surroundings as I see people come and maintain the area pretty often. The only negative is that the walls are kinda thin. I don't know how loud it is for people downstairs but I can hear other people's bathroom fans and air conditioning. Read More

I recommend an upstairs apartment due to better lighting and the abilities to have my blinds open all day long, loved that the pool and hot tub area were rarely used. Having a laundry room that is app based was a plus for me as well, no need for quarters. Anytime I needed something fixed maintanence was quick to show up at my door and repair the issue (rarely needed them to repair anything by the way). Blackouts occured all over the south bay (due to storms) but literally never had the lights go... out at this complex, power lines in the area were run underground. - Walls are paper-thinned. I can clearly hear the snoring from upstairs. I have a hard time to sleep even with earplugs on.
- Laundry room so DIRTY that I am worried about my health.

I had planned to stay at Macara Gardens for couple of years considering the location but the Property Manager has changed my mind because of his disappointing rude attitude towards residents and now I can’t wait for my lease to end and move out of this place!
