I would not recommend renting here, and here’s why:
Very disappointing experience living here. The apartment is much darker than promised — we stressed the need for sunlight during tours, but the unit barely gets any. Management refused to let us transfer, even though other tenants were allowed.
The courtyard is open during the day, which we were never told. Unhoused individuals often enter, make noise, and leave trash. At night, the building sits right above a BART ventilation shaft that produces a loud humming noise from 2:30–5:00 a.m., making... it impossible to sleep. Management admits the issue but says it’s not their responsibility.
With windows closed there’s no air, with windows open there’s noise. The AC doesn’t work properly, and maintenance is poor: broken gates slam loudly, the coffee machine is often out of service, and delivery drivers constantly get confused because there are no clear instructions.
Overall, what looked fine during the tours turned out to be a stressful and disappointing place to live.

A special shout out goes to the maintenance team. Their dedication and skill keep The Brady in tip-top form. No matter the issue, big or small, they respond quickly and efficiently, ensuring that our living spaces are always comfortable and well-maintained.
All in all, The Brady is more than just a place to live—it’s a community where you feel supported, engaged, and truly at home. If you’re looking for a place that combines city living with a strong sense of community and outstanding service, The Brady is the perfect choice!
