I love living at the Helm. It is a quiet community that is very clean and properly managed. Our property manager JC has always been very helpful since day one. He is not only welcoming but informative and always quick to jump in when you have any questions or are needing help.

We have loved living at THE HELM. It’s a beautiful area we have a beautiful balcony that overlooks the city. JC (manager) always makes sure the apartment is clean and if wonderful at his job always so helpful.

I’ve lived at the Helm for about a year now and I don’t plan on leaving. Our property manager, JC, is working day and night and sometimes even on his days off to make sure everything is squared away and the building is well taken care of. Inspections in each unit are done bi-annually to ensure all units are on par to safety/ health codes. Notice of entries are given well in advance. Maintenance is hardly ever needed for my unit, but when maintenance is needed, Maurice is the one to fix it. He... works quickly and efficiently and always very friendly. Communal laundry room is always taken care of and machines working properly. He also works hard to keep the entire property clean which is 100000% appreciated. Our resident community manager, Gerald, is very sweet and does a wonderful job coordinating fun events for the building community. He also aids in resources for anyone struggling. Neighbors are very friendly, don’t have many issues with people being too loud. The studios are small but they’re cozy and a great place to create a home. It’s an extremely walkable area with tons of yummy restaurants in little Italy, as well as, several small markets and a Ralph’s (15 min walking). Waterfront park is a 10 min walk away. My partner and I love to take walks along the Harbor during sunset after a nice dinner out in Little Italy. Only issue is lack of parking. I have to pay monthly parking for a garage 4 blocks down. Best part is your so close to the Little Italy farmer’s market or any other events going on downtown. I’ve had a lot of struggles finding an apartment that I love. Management has been helpful and communicative on any issue I brought up. The property is in a pristine spot in San Diego and I don't regret moving here!
